“Nice place to stay, quiet, clean. Spacious rooms. Can have shared bathroom. The Property owner was such a kind caring person with a lovely family. Makes guests feel welcome. Close to the Beach ( right across the road ) a couple minutes walk to the township. Wifi, nice big deck to sit on. Great public transportation. I really enjoyed my time at the Manor. And would definitely stay again. What made it special to me was the kindness of the owners. Definitely 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From me.”

“If only I knew. I worked in Auckland off and on over 2 years, and Debbies cottage would have made those experiences so much better than staying in the apartment. It’s a perfect layout - separated from the main house, cosy, fully self contained, and a stones throw from the Mt Eden shops. Notable and awesome fact: it’s in a dead end street, behind Mt Eden - so it’s quiet. Really quiet. So great. As was the hospitality of Debbie. Will look to return ASAP.”

There are inevitably things that can be unpleasant like the fact of not having windows in the rooms, but the spaces common areas completely fill this gap because they make us feel like we are in a large shared accommodation/ Flat where it is easy to meet people because it is a small hostel. the staff and the types of travelers who stay there are great. The staff do their utmost to keep the place clean even if unfortunately the cleanliness of a hostel also depends on the cleanliness of the travelers staying there at a given time and these are factors that we cannot control.. In any case price/quality ratio Hit hostel is the best you can find.”
