“Had a wonderful service and great food at this restaurant. Very friendly & patient staff. We came as a group of 15-17 people including 5+ kids and the staff were very helpful and considerate. Everyone ordered something different and yet all the food was delicious and everyone was satisfied. Bill was also reasonably priced and good value for money. Highly recommend to everyone and will definitely come again.”

“Our second time at Apero in ten days, and both times were terrific. The food is imaginative and beautifully presented. The service is so good - a really friendly host takes you through the menu and the wine list in a very charming way, and you feel very welcome, appreciated and well cared for. All the dishes were excellent, and especially good - the potato dauphine and the strawberry soufflé. Oh, and the very good bread and butter! That something so simple can be so well done just shows what a tip top kitchen is at work!”

“Honored to be one of Warung Kerol’s first customers and DANG they nailed it. EVERY. TIME! I ordered their Chicken Noodle Soup and it is seriously one of their best meals AND my favorite. Their Indonesian styled Fried Chicken (ayam goreng bumbu kuning) is so good too. As an Indonesian myself, I truly 100% recommend this for any Indonesians in Auckland who currently misses homemade Indonesian food. PS: The owner, Carol is a SWEETIE and she’s so friendly and will help you with any enquiries and questions u have”

“Wow! What an awesome find! This is easily the best Thai restaurant in Auckland. Our favourite mains are the Pad see ew and Green curry, both are always so delicious and fresh. Highly recommend their money bags as an appetizer! Everything is cooked to perfection. The owners are amazing and so friendly. We also called on Top Ten to cater for an event, and they went above and beyond for us. Their portions were generous and the price was great too. Thank you!”

“A hidden gem that serves up some fantastic ramen and other dishes. Went here with my fiancée to grab some ramen and katsu after a long day of adventures and hikes. They are in a rather odd location, a warehouse district with no discerning signs of a restaurant in the heart of it. However if you have the drive it has definitely worth a stop. Staff is super friendly and dishes come out piping hot. Would just mention that there isn’t a ton of seating inside and outside so larger parties may run into some obstacles there. However a more intimate dinner date is easy.”

The food is excellent, the service is amazing, the price is great for what you get, and the portions are big! My partner and I usually get the teriyaki salmon and chicken katsu donburi. The ingredients are very fresh and balanced with the fresh salad. The sauces are very flavourful. We've tried other items on their menu and their sushi and they are all excellent. We'd say their sushi is some of the best we've ever had! The service is also amazing - the staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their face. It feels as though every order is very important to them. They also always remember preferences we have (e.g. not liking onions). This place is so good that even when we moved out of the blockhouse bay area to about half an hour away we still try to go regularly. We would give them more than 5 stars if we could!”

“Been shopping here for years, they have the freshest quality of spices and condiments for various cuisines - Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Brazilian, Argentian and more. They also have speciality ingredients for all your baking, sourdough, fermenting needs. They also stock an incredible vegan and allergy friendly food selection. You can also request for ingredients they may not stock, and the owner usually will try and source it for you. The prices are also the best in the area by a big margin. Better than all the supermarket duopolies.”

“What a delightful little find, rung the mobile number to order pick up since it’s always faster (and cheaper) than Uber eats. We got the vege udon noodles, Katsu chicken yaki soba and sweet and spicy karaage chicken and everything was toasty hot and delicious. The udon noodles took me straight back to Japan! We ordered on a Friday night and the woman on the phone accurately set expectations of a 20 minute wait. All in all a great experience and we will def be returning!”

“Easily the best hand-pulled noodles in Auckland. I haven’t found anywhere close for this style of noodle. Noodles are texturally very correct - the perfect amount of bite. I can’t believe it’s not more popular, but I like not having to queue and how it’s just the two people running everything. The couple are super friendly. Highly recommend the 2-in-1 braised pork and oil splashed noodles.”

“They have seating available for couples to large groups and it is best to book a table. More of a Thai fusion restaurant, but the flavours are really tasty and presented well. The deep fried whole barramundi and BBQ beef short rib are highly recommended. They also have kids menu and a good selection of cocktails.”

“Authentic, flavourful, modern style Indian that hits the spot. The favourites are perfect (butter chicken, lamb Rogan Josh, garlic naan) but I’d also push the boat out and add the vegetarian mains and yummy sides to broaden your experience.”

“Go here for the best chai in town! Super friendly, down to earth customer service. I was impressed with product knowledge and any queries I had about health supplements were answered. Money well spent and now I know where to come for my health foods/ supplements. If you're looking to cook authentic Indian recipes then this is the place to come to get your ingredients. They apparently do Indian cooking classes as well. After you shop here, I recommend ordering a fresh chai tea and sitting outside in their courtyard. Great people, great place!”
