Look by any means this place is not super flash but I think itβs seriously good value. I stayed for 2 nights at $160 a night in the run up to Xmas. Great location, great price and a great big room with a super comfy bed. Also used the pool which was all ok. Remember to take your room towel as the day I was there none were provided. Lastly check in and staff were all good. Remember people itβs $160 NZD for a massive room in the middle of the city.

We stayed in a heritage family room with our young kids, made liberal use of the rooftop pool and throughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are older, but, our 7th floor room was well maintained, had good internet and tv setup, was large and had a good view. We were able to get a good price for the stay and considered it value for money. Reception was pleasant and helpfull. The hotel despite being quite large was very quiet. The location is great for most central Auckland activites. We will be back again for a short stay next month. This is not a 5* property with room service or super modern decor, but it suited our needs well.

Donβt. The only thing that was good about this place was the staff. They were incredible, operating in what must be a very challenging and demoralizing environment. Tracey and Sandra were fantastic. The room was filthy. Nothing was clean, the pool area was mediocre but just passable. Cigarette burns in the carpet, filthy bathroom tiles, greasy smears on the glass, dust covering everything, filthy floors. To be fair the bed felt clean.

This hotel is 100% the Tinder date that used photos from 2014 and a very flattering filter. Online itβs giving 4-star luxury. In person itβs giving βoh.β The room was dusty, outdated, and came with bonus cigarette burns in the carpet. A charming throwback no one asked for. There was a visible layer of dust on basically everything, which really helped sell the βhasnβt been updated in a whileβ aesthetic. For the price theyβre charging, the room quality was honestly shocking. Now, the only reason this isnβt a 1-star review: Sandra and Tracey. Absolute legends. Warm, kind, helpful, and genuinely lovely. They carried this stay on their backs and deserve a raise. If youβre booking for the staff alone, youβll be happy. The rooftop pool and gym were actually great and lived up to expectations, which made going back to the room feel unfortunate. Overall, itβs a hotel trying to sell luxury while delivering nostalgia. I wouldnβt recommend paying the premium price unless the rooms get a serious glow-up. Great personality, questionable reality. Just like that date

The hotel was not as advertised and if I had known what it was like, I would not have booked it. We booked a deluxe tower room, expecting a view of the harbour. But what we got was a dark, dingy room with a view of a busy street and bus interchange. It was all but deserted in the public spaces, restaurants and shops were all closed, there was no room service (hardly any service at all actually, reception rarely staffed, no-one to provide towels at the pool, no bar at the pool etc). Even the location was a disappointment, yes maybe a kilometer to the waterfront but up and down a steep hill, so difficult to walk easily into the main centre and no decent cafes for morning coffee breakfast etc. The only positive is the one staff member (Aeyon) who went out of her way to move us to a better room.

when we checked in it was like,, really old and outdated, but I didn't want to complain. After the showers, it became obvious , water was escaping the shower booth to everywhere. Complained to the service desk and said no maintenance tonight. Eventually, took 2 calendar days to fix the problem, and it too more that once for the service man to come back. Spoke about this at a the oust, I asked for a 10% discount and was promised that a manager will get back tome. it happens, that our house key were left in a room. asked to send them back to me. Promised, by Doreen T to do so, but no communication/action from Heritage .Sent numerous emails. No response. still waiting for some help and action from Heritage, and now think now 20% discount is just generous. Don't do Heritage until location Vlad

Brilliant location practically next to the Auckland Sky Tower. Walkable to the harbour, central shopping areas. Hop on n off bus stops just nearby. Our room was a great choice with a small kitchenette, balcony and bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Ideal if on a long long journey .. you can wash everything and reset. No bad thing to have your breakfast etc at leisure . Swimming pool on roof and tennis courts in complex.

Speechless - used to be so much better but the quality of the staff is letting it down, downright rude front desk today. Second stay in 3 months and never again. Both times had issues. Was told booking included concierge service to park our car, waited 20 minutes with car as needed to let taxi's through, only to be told after being abused by a taxi driver, they did have enough staff to offer this with no apologies? Today the front desk would not hold onto a small bag for 10 minutes until the other guests had come down!? Stupid little things that left us fuming..

Our family loved our stay at the Heritage Auckland. The roof top pool is an absolute treasure and the pool was heated enough that our kids enjoyed a swim in July, with a warming dip in the spa afterward. The hotel staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was very spacious and had a real charm to it, far better than some of the bland, tiny rooms that are common with hotels today. Our room was very clean, the only negative was the water pressure in the shower but that is a minor and as we explained to the kids, that's how showers used to be when we were young. Highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be back to stay again.

It was an ok stay. Itβs not like it used to be. Breathe some life back into this place! The reception area needs some brightness and life. The room was very dated and has definitely seen better days. It was clean and the bed was comfortable so that was good. Donβt think we will be returning in a hurry though.
