“Stopped yesterday for a Dirty Martini and really enjoyed the vibes here. Decided to get another drink. The other cocktails on the menu looked so good. Got their twist on french 75 which they put seasonal fruits in. The fruit used in my cocktail was Tamarillo, so yum. I also ordered the pull apart bread, was nice. Definitely keen to come back for dinner service one day. ❤️”

“Perfect 21st birthday venue in many aspects. Firstly, the convenience of parking was exceptional, with a parking lot located just across the road. On Saturdays, it only cost $15 for nearly 8 hours of parking at the downtown street parking, which was just 2 minute walk away. The bar staff were great, providing excellent service throughout the night. The changeable lighting added a nice touch and made the photos look fantastic. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and the seating arrangement was just right for our kaumatua (elderly). We had a wonderful time with our laptop connected via HDMI for a photo slide show. Additionally, we were able to play our own music using their iPad, eliminating the need to connect our phones since we didn’t book a dj. Meeting the minimum spend through a cash bar was effortless since we had paid in advance for food, which was absolutely divine and served at perfect intervals throughout the night. The location of the bar was also excellent. Overall, we felt well taken care of and highly recommend this venue for any event.”

“Kareoki nights are the bomb. Tammy the Kareoki DJ on Tuesday night and Dave Hoeta on Thursday and Saturday nights from 9pm. A must visit if you're a singer or waiata artist.....chuuur!!! Fun place to visit.”

“Nice food and friendly staffs, cheap smiles and greetings yet still giving you space for your privacy and peace whilst you enjoying food. I have been roaming around for food since 11 in the afternoon and enjoying a small dish yet enjoyable, if you in the same happened with me, you probably want to choose fish pàte. Cripsbread with the smokefish and sour cream are just legend! Salad is kinda look normal until you got the bite of sweetened grape mix with them. It’s definetely heaven and plus you can still make space for dessert after that delightful meal. I chose chocolate platter, macaron and raisin cake was kinda slow but wait until you get a spoon of the rest 2 bites (which i forgot what was their name, they placed at the very end left and right of the dish) Ohh ofcourse rose lover like me definitely satisfied with house wine The Ned that was recommended by the waiter, not too dry yet still flavorful of berries and cinnamon. I am fully recommend this restaurant for your culinary stopover.”

“Wandered past here today and noticed the decor was really funky so popped our head in for a look. The lady was so friendly that we decided to stay for a cheeky early drink. Then had a second as was such a cool spot. Will be great when the CRL work is finished and everyone can spot this place behind the construction fences. “Visited The Roll yesterday and tried Bun Cha, Stir fried Beef PHO, Broken Rice with Pork Ribs and Vietnamese Pancake. The food was fresh and full of flavour. I was especially impressed with Bun Cha, the meatballs was so tender and smoky, perfectly with the dipping sauce. The Broken Rice was fantastic too. We were all really happy with the meal. The staff and service were wonderful. Definitely recommend checking it out!”

We were served by a super friendly lady, who seems to really care about this place and giving people a great experience. The food was outstanding. Huge portions! To top it all off, the pomegranate sour was a fantastic choice – expertly mixed, refreshing, and a great pairing for the food. “What a delight it was to eat at Morrell! The food was some of the best I’ve had in Auckland since moving here 3 years ago. Service was great and of course booking through First Table was seemless. Only thing I’d say that could’ve been better was the option to split the bill as there were 4 of us. But aside, top class experience! Thank you Morell team.”
