   I had breakfast but forgot to take photos. It’s a quiet and clean restaurant. I ordered poached eggs with sourdough bread, and flat white with coconut milk. The flat white was horrible still warm, tasteless and I only took two sips. The breakfast was average. First time and won’t recommend it to anyone. There’s more close by restaurants near or Manukau mall to try. When I ordered I wanted to pay cash and was told they didn’t have change and was asked to pay by card. As a restaurant that’s a red flag saying they don’t have change, yet customers are there to pay. I was asked to pay my card yet again customers should have their own preference of how to pay.

   We went two days in a row, and I personally prefer the first day, I got the bacon and cheese muffin and bacon and cheese toasted sandwich. The reason I didn't enjoy the omelette much was there were items added on the plate that I said not to add. Good price for breakfast, friendly staff and a large menu for different people, along with a buffet (which is next on my list to try), and great coffee.

   We stayed 4 nights for a conference. We ate 3 dinners and a breakfast whilst staying. I ordered pancakes with bacon and this was the most I have ever paid for a pancake breakfast. I was horrified. 4 small old hard cold pancakes, a couple squirts of cream out of the can, a sliver of poached pear on each one, and no maple syrup. Oh and a wad of bacon on the side... $30!!! One bite was all I needed. Gross! Unfortunately I traded them in for the buffet which included cold hash browns, and I got the last of the dried up scrapings of the scrambled eggs. I wished I'd gone for a refund instead. There was a difference in the price but no attempt was made to refund the difference. That was our last meal of our stay. Previous meals included poor/no service, ran out of red wine one night, white wine the next. Wanted to order a dessert but no one arrived to clear our plates and offer it. We enjoyed staying apart from the restaurant.

   I ordered the champions breakfast for $27. About what you'd expect to pay these days with inflation, it was $23 the last time I was here. The scrambled egg and bacon were ok, but the toast was so dry and had no butter, which made it even worse. Staff seemed to be run off their feet, and the order took nearly 30mins to arrive at the table. We were lucky to get in early before the place started filling out with other patrons. There were so many people sitting around just waiting for their food to arrive. I've been here a few times before, and this is the first time it's been like this, so maybe I caught them on a bad day. I've enjoyed my previous visits but not this time.

   I had high expectations after looking at photos of the food on Google and the cafe didn’t disappoint. It is a lovely relaxing environment to have brunch and the coffee tasted lovely. I was very pleased that the Chicken Eggs Benedict came was roast chicken instead of fried and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. The whole experience was fantastic and I will definitely be back soon!
