“We stayed for just 1 night and it was really amazing. Qi is super friendly and welcoming. The place is clean, quiet and comfortable. Bedroom had a kettle and mini fridge available for use. Slippers, toothbrush and conditioner shampoo were also included. Breakfast was delicious and right on time. Definitely worth it!”

“Having just spent the weekend at Quail Lodge with my Mum, I simply can't give it a high enough rating! Starting with the warm welcome, the kindness that hosts Sam and Hamish showed was second to none. The accommodation was superb and it felt like we'd been wrapped up in a luxurious big hug. The food was exceptional, Sam is an incredible cook and nothing was too much trouble. Everything including the beautiful location and scenery was truly a memorable and lasting experience. Hoping that we can return in the not too distant future. Thank you for having us.”

“You simply have to come here. Pip and Andy are fantastic hosts and there accommodation is fantastic. The rooms are spacious and uber clean. Pip and her team are very helpful with local information and can help with transit connections. We hired a car through them which was really convenient. The prepared breakfast is one of the best you likely ever experience. It certainly was for us. They will help you plan a fantastic experience while on this beautiful island.”

“Grainne and Kevin at Connemara Country Lodge were truly amazing. We had our wedding there over the weekend, and the day was nothing short of perfect. There wasn’t a single fault; they were incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and organized. They ensured everything ran smoothly, and most importantly, they made our wedding day everything we dreamed of at the perfect venue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Liam and Erin Q”

“WOW - not only is the Lodge beautiful and relaxing, but the hosts are equally as charming. Our stay just happened to be on one of the most gorgeous days of the year, still the ambiance and views would be just as nice had the weather not been exceptional. We can't rave enough about the location...simply wonderful. What a nice way to spend a week-day. The food cooked by our host Gene, was first rate, and the friendly atmosphere added to an all-round superb mini-break. Thank you again for such a lovely visit... hope we'll be back. “Husband and I had such a great week long stay here. Sandy and Glen were great hosts sharing with us their personal recommendations and answering all our questions regarding NZ. Our room had a wonderful view of Little Manly Beach. The hotel is conveniently located for a quick walk to town for great meals and/or a relaxing swim at Big Manly Beach. Our room was equipped for preparing simple meals. We could enjoy dining in our room at the large table or on the verandah outside our room overlooking the beach. Absolutely beautiful. Sandy and Glen do offer an extra breakfast option. Glen is mighty talented with those poached eggs. Enjoy.”

“Our stay at the Delamore Lodge was fantastic! The lodge is unique and comfortable, with an incredible view. We loved waking up in the morning to the ocean view from our room and hiking down to the nearby bay. The service is phenomenal, very friendly and attentive staff. The food is 10/10-so fresh and we enjoyed trying the local foods! Wonderful breakfast by the fire each morning, evening appetizers, and the “Trust the Chef” dinner we had as fantastic. If you are looking for a charming lodge and great cuisine, the delamore is the place for you!”

“Lovely hosts. Price was $25, not bad for the great location! Drive getting there was a little crazy but beautiful - narrow winding road, some drivers that need to slow down. There are bathrooms on site, and more at the beach car park just a 5 minute walk away. Right next to some great hikes and the black sand beach!”

“I had a pleasure of staying here for five weeks, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The ambiance of the lodge is simply outstanding—peaceful, beautifully maintained, with clean and cozy rooms that designed to make tenants feel at home. The property managers (Trudy and Eddie) are so kind. They are really helpful. And people living here are incredibly friendly, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this Morningside Lodge to anyone looking for a wonderful stay even short or long term with excellent hospitality. Hannah”

“Oaklands is great. We stayed here for a week or so at the beginning of our 1 year working holiday, and chose to stay again when we returned to Auckland at the end of our year. Dorms and private rooms are nice, kitchen is big and everything is clean enough. Common areas are nice, both inside and out. Staff are helpful. And it's not too expensive. Good value for your money. I recommend staying at this hostel and climbing Mt. Eden, which is a quick hike right next door.”

“Loved staying here, the people and atmosphere were really nice there. It had a rustic style that gave it a proper hostel vibe unlike some others around Auckland. Place was clean and staff were super friendly. The area is not the best but I never had any issues walking the street at night. The only issue I had was the dryer costs $6 and it didn't dry my stuff, I had to use it twice to get my stuff dry. Apart from that I'd recommend this to anyone.”

“Had to go here for work. This place is an emergency housing building for people who are not as fortunate as you or I. It is kept clean and tidy and I found the residents to be warm and welcoming. There is probably no reason anyone would come here except to be housed. I just thought I'd give it a rap as they do a wonderful job in caring for people in our community.”
