Really ran down. Had booked this because of the pool facilities and location for park. Charged a $200 bond for a room that isnβt up to standard. Mouldy grout, pictures looked fresh and clean. Pool was under maintenance and itβs the middle of summer. The rooms, hallways and lifts are like an oven, with air con down in the entire building, which they had mentioned would not be fixed until 2026. There was no mention of air con down and pool under maintenance at the time of booking nor did they mention it at time of check in. They had said booking.com would not mention on their third party site about the air con or pool. The customers do have a right to know. Continental breakfast was offered as a good will for the inconvenience. Could be a really great hotel if it was maintained and kept up to standard, would have definitely of preferred to pay a bit more for something nicer.despite all this the beds were comfortable and is a good location. Receptionist and service was great .

No air conditioning! Room currently 28 degrees. Rooms are really hot. Reception said hasn't been working for a year was the response we got when we rung the desk. Still has air con instructions in the welcome book. No ventilation in the bathroom this is also not working. Website does make it appear alot more attractive than what it is in person and doesn't state no air con.

Hotel receptionist Smitri was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Although we booked through a third-party service and didnβt reserve a parking space, she went out of her way to find one for us. She was polite and empathetic, especially considering our situation traveling with a toddler. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, and the room was clean and well-maintained, the kitchenette is a bunos! Kudos to the housekeeping team as well, the room was still serviced even after 5 PM, which we really appreciated. Would love to book again in the future!

AVOID AT ALL COST!! Started with the receptionist that "welcomed" us, her name was Smriti. We had a confusion about an extra $200 fee we were not aware of, she was extremely rude and unprofessional in how she dealt with the matter. What an introduction to the place! Then once in the room I really struggled to understand where the 4 stars where coming from and how they were justifying their price per night. The room was not cleaned up to that standard AT ALL, I have worked in that industry for years and was shocked at how filthy the kitchen cabinets were, re attached photos. The room is very run down, paint cracking, balcony covered in pigeon poo, microwave was not working, I had to put quite a few kettles full of boiling water to my bath as the water coming out of the tap was just lukewarm. Ventilation in the bathroom is not working. We had to check out at 3:30am to catch a flight, which I informed Smriti upon check-in, yet the reception was unattended at said time. There was a sign saying to call a certain number if that was the case, but the number says it's been disconnected!! I had to just leave my room key on the reception desk and leave?? Super confused. Overall extremely disappointed with my stay and strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I previously stayed when this was the Amora. It is now hotel rooms and apartments. The rooms are ok, comparable to a 4* hotel. BUT.....there is no restaurant or bar...and room service is optional. It is in a reasonable central location but you have to walk up to K Road for any food or corner shop or bottle shop. The few staff were friendly and helpful. But otherwise there is no atmosphere. I didn't choose to stay here as it was booked by my employer and I probably wouldn't make it a first choice if I was booking myself.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Good location, 20 min walk to britomart train station. Right in centre of town but easy to get to from the motorway. Plenty of eateries close by. Room was clean and tidy, rooms are nothing flash and a bit old but do the trick. Bonus having a washer/drier in the room, didn't have to take dirty washing home from holiday.

Location was good and within walking distance to the city centre. Steep uphill walk back though for those who have mobility issues. Bus stop virtually 20 mtrs from the door of the hotel. Lady on reception was just doing her job and there was no extraordinary service there as far as making you welcome etc. Music in the waiting part of the lobby is loud, jerky and annoying. Rooms were good with great views. There was an issue with bathroom where the water ended up all over the floor as the small screen over the bath leaked. Beds were very comfortable and the small kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Only there for 3 nights and it was a pleasant stay overall.

I had booked a two night stay direct with the hotel web site during Easter weekend. Charlie at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and relatively clean [except for the bathroom floor]. The real issue I had was with the washing machine. It ruined my new hiking pants, changing them to muddled gray color from black. When I reported this to the front desk and asked for reimbursement, they claimed the washer worked fine and offered to wash my clothes for me [not sure how they were going to put the black back] The hotel was short staffed all weekend, with no one to refresh the room or remove trash. This is a three star hotel that could become a four star property with more attention to detail and better customer service.. Steer clear if you are looking for a good customer experience.

We stayed here with my one-year old, and it was great! The location is fantastic (close to restaurants that are open late and walkable to the downtown area). It was clean, and the staff was efficient and friendly. I would stay here again!
