“Very good central location. Tidy room, no complaints or concerns. We arrived on a cold day and it was a nice touch to discover the room was warm with the heater already on. Property is on a steep hillside, so may present some challenges for those with mobility issues. A very pleasant stay.”

Was a neat tidy unit, heater was on when we got there which was nice......we were late with our arrival and they couldn't have been more understanding. “The most beautiful view from the room we stayed in. Our room is at the corner of the lodge, so we can see the best view of the Otago Peninsula. Sadly, the deck that wrapped around our room in an L shape looked pretty old and needed urgent TLC. The room includes breakfast, which is set up in the old stables. The breakfast is very good and the stables really set the vibe for the day.”

“This place is unique like no other. Margie is so lovely, entertaining and such a brilliant character and host that I cant remotely relate to the previous review left on google in any way whatsoever. It must be an airbnb thing? The homestead has been operating as a private residence for such a long period of time and closed to nightly stays that I can only guess that the reviewer is abusing the privilege, of the ability to leave a false and malicious statement, for some nefarious reason. Oh well perhaps google should only accept reviews with proof of purchase. This place oozes charm is incredibly welcoming and was a total pleasure to stay in.”

“A comfortable, well equipped 2-bedroom unit underneath the main house. Full kitchen and also has washing machine and dryer. The steps down from the street to the unit are manageable with luggage. However, the unit doesn't claim to be nor is it set up for people with physical disabilities and the steps might be problematic for that situation. The unit is well-located high just a 2-minute drive down the hill to the Dunedin CBD. But if you don't have a car, be prepared for a steep 10-15 minute walk back up the hill.”
