“Fantastic hotel, the service was impeccable! Leo was a wonderful host, took care of us and start to finish. And the breakfast was out of this world, more than I could eat, but the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in a long long time. The location of this hotel is ideal, especially as an out-of-town visitor to Auckland. Definitely will stay here again!”

“This is a great hotel with lovely rooms, comfortable beds and well equipped. Great location for the city. The valet parking was very efficient and they took our bags as we arrived early and delivered to our room when it was ready. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be back.”

“Remarkable! That’s the best way to describe The Hotel Britomart. We loved the art, the eco-conscious identity, and the overall atmosphere. From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff were simply amazing. We finally managed to visit the beautiful Library Lounge (it was booked for a private event the night before), and what a treat it was! A special thank you to the lounge manager, Luciano, who made us one of the best — if not the best — martinis we’ve ever had. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!”

“This is a very good hotel. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and spotless. The hotel is centrally located will the marina 15minute slow walk, sky tower 5 minutes and queens Road shops also 5 minutes. The staff are very friendly, professional and courteous where nothing is too much trouble to sort. Thank you to all for making this stay very enjoyable and I highly recommend this hotel.”

“Family enjoyed their stay here! Friendly service from reception to kitchen staff. Room was spacious and clean, beds were comfy. Pool was a treat for the kids. We had a great stay thanks! “I felt a lot of racial bias during my check-in experience. We arrived early around 1pm (check-in was at 3pm), and I completely understand that early check-ins aren’t always possible. As a Platinum member, I had hoped for some flexibility but was told the rooms weren’t ready — fair enough. We went for lunch and returned around 2pm, and the rooms still weren’t ready. However, in the 30 minutes we waited in the lobby, I saw 5–8 other guests being checked in with no issue. When I asked the same front desk lady again if our rooms were ready, she simply said, “No, they’re not ready.” When I politely insisted that she check with the housekeeping team to see if at least one of our rooms was ready so we could freshen up, relax, and plan our afternoon, she finally checked and said, “Oh, one room is ready.” That experience was quite frustrating, especially because moments earlier she had made no effort to verify. What made it more upsetting was seeing a white couple walk in and book a room on the spot — the exact same category as one of mine (around NZD $370 per night) — and they were checked in immediately. I was told other guests had “different room categories,” but clearly that wasn’t the case. If that’s not discriminatory treatment, I don’t know what is. I paid for two rooms, valet parking, dinner, and plenty of drinks — the same or more than many other guests — yet was made to feel less valued. That said, I do want to acknowledge that the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The valet parking lady was so friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant and bar teams were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and kind. It’s just unfortunate that the check-in experience left such a negative impression, overshadowing what could have been an otherwise beautiful stay.”

“My preferred stay whenever I’m visiting Auckland. The rooms are always tidy, smells good, the beds and pillows are so comfy! In my experience, the staff are lovely, prompt and helpful. Great, convenient location to shops and the viaduct but still nice and quiet, love staying here and will always recommend this to family as they have also had positive experiences at the Travel Lodge. I believe the Travel Lodge upholds an excellent standard in terms of hospitality, service and quality. Compared to some of the other places we have visited and stayed at whilst in New Zealand, the travel lodge remains a favourite! Thank you again for a wonderful stay. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our time.”

“This hotel met every need perfectly! The room was nice, with a bathroom that was very space efficient. The breakfast buffet had many options, including a variety of dairy and non-dairy, milks, pastries, warm, basic continental food, and cereal! The rooms were quiet, and the location was superb. It was close to everything we wanted to do, including the waterfront, nightlife, local theater, and transportation! Ding dong is right across the street! And lots of grocery stores near by!”

“Really enjoyed our stay at Lincoln Green hotel. Location was perfect, many food options within walking distance. Lots of parking on site. Rooms were clean, the place was quiet and the staff were all very polite and helpful. Definitely would stay again.”

“Perfect hotel, right at the heart of Auckland city center. The hotel is fully equipped with essentials needs. Most importantly were the incredible staffs. The front desk agent, Lena was excellent. The whole stay, she was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. She has the outstanding hospitality services, keep up the genuine energy. Also the night staff, the male front desk agent was very accommodating and courteous as well. Everything I needed to have a good stay in Auckland.”

“We booked a two bedroom suite for 4 adults and we were each very happy with our overall stay and the affordability. Despite some issues I had with booking.com itself the staff here were wonderful! I would have given 5 stars for service however we had trouble calling through a few times for the concierge, thankfully once we arrived the receptionist was very accomodating and efficient. Comfortable beds, amazing view off the balcony, clean room and half of us went and enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Thank you all - we will be staying again in future ☺️”

“We were initially worried with the low ratings we saw, but we still booked it anyway because it is at the location we need. Turn out the rooms were beautiful, large clean and convenient. One has the ocean view. Superb location, close to all the nice eating places. And staffs have been very supportive, they even upgraded our room for free!”

“This is a delightful home for your cat's long or short term stay. Ellis and Paul obviously love cats and take great care with nutrition and well-being. The rooms are light and airy and spotlessly clean. The surroundings are calm and restful. My cat stayed for 3 months October 2019 when I moved home. She is a loner, used to hunting on a farm all her life, but she was so relaxed and cuddly when I took her home, I knew she had enjoyed her time with Ellis and Paul. Thank you to the Cat Hotel Stoney Creek for your thoughtful care of Jessie. You are Jessie's hotel of choice !!”

“We celebrated a weekend of our honeymoon at the Boatshed Hotel and we fell in love. Jonathon and his team made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel. From picking us up at the ferry, giving us charcuterie and wine upon welcoming us into the lobby, and spending every meal overlooking the ocean. We will be back and cannot talk higher about our experience at the Boatshed it was heaven on earth.”

“Not our first time and worth every minute of it, apart from the first little bit when we had a bit of a long wait to get seated. The atmosphere is amazing with eclectic decor and the team that served and cooked were brilliant. The meals were worth paying a little more than we usually do for with tender rump loin and then bread pudding capping the session off. Thanks for another worthwhile experience.”

“I highly recommend Roomie! We stayed in February 2025. We are from Ireland, and we used Roomie as a base when travelling around NZ . We had all the security of a hotel and all the freedom of an apartment. The beds were comfortable and the apartments were very comfortable and clean.The water pressure in the shower was great . We had lovely showers there. The staff were wonderful, every time you went to the desk you knew you would get help with a smile. I can't complement them enough. The communication via email before our stay was prompt and helpful. We had connections to Avondale so it was an ideal location for us but if you don't have any connections to Avondale, it is still a great location as the train is across the road from the apartment hotel. You can get the train to New Lynn and there is a mall there with a big supermarket or to Mt Albert to Pak N' Save a cheaper supermarket. It also goes to Britomart, where you can get to the viaduct in central Auckland. There is also a shop around the corner if you need some essentials. Try to book direct as you get some extra perks like free laundry and early check-in than if you use a 3rd party website.”

“I really enjoyed my one-night stay at this hotel excellent value for money. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and even checked us in earlier than the usual 2pm time. The room was large, very clean, and the TV offered plenty of options. My only small feedback would be that the pillows were a bit firm for my liking. I slept well regardless, the shower was refreshing in the morning, and the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. Overall, a great stay I would definitely return next time I’m in Auckland. Thank you!”

“We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon and the vibe was great. A live band was playing good tunes, not so loud that you couldn't enjoy a good yarn with your mates, and the staff were courteous and friendly. We arrived when it was very busy so the wait time for a cooked meal from the menu was an hour so keep that in mind if visiting when busy. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to stopping in again over summer.”

“Great stay at the Quest. I was able to cook meals and make myself hot drinks with the small kitchen in the room. Great size bathroom that had a bathtub, shower head, washing machine, and dryer in the room. The TV was one of the biggest TVs I've had in a hotel and was able to cast streaming apps from my phone. The mall, restaurants, museums, hospital and other shops are walking distance. I did have to pay for parking but didn't mind the added cost as it was safe, covered, and we were provided a remote to open the garage door. Also the cleaners would sometimes forget my towels in the bathroom or would leave lights on after cleaning but not a major issue. I would definitely come back again.”

They were so happy with the room, and we could truly feel the friendliness and kindness from everyone they met. I had a few requests for the Reservation Manager, and it was clear that every detail was looked after with care.
