A very multicultural place and very delicious variety of food by the best of Albeta & Emeline-Emiley's with their well trained sociable friendly hospitable staff, that provides and managed all their customers equally with great satisfaction. “Really nice place atmosphere qas really good, got the big cup and really good portions with good flavor. We used to go to Golden sands alot but this will be new breakfast place. Price $$ good for a breakfast place. Food was a really good portion and was tasty. Customer service was excellent. Only issue was the knives weren't really sharp so it struggled to cut the sour dough bread. Still great experience. Overall rating 5/5 would highly recommend.”

“Breakfast meals were good. It’s a busy eatery so no real interaction with service just go in and be seated. You do need to go to the counter and order they are too busy to take table orders so don’t sit at your table waiting which I noticed a family do. Enjoyed the omelette and mango lassi. The menu has a lot of variety showcasing their Fijian meals. Servings and price was reasonable. Will go back to try their mains. Definitely try them out.”

“Best matcha in the neighborhood, and the latte art is next level. Really friendly staff, yummy Asian-inspired and kiwi items, and good seating options inside and on the sidewalk. They brew Rocket coffee, if that's something you're interested in knowing beforehand.”

“Had a wonderful Sunday brunch here, the staff were absolutely amazing so friendly and happy, was busy but the food wait wasn’t too long. Mocha was best I’ve had in a long time with a cute picture on the top!! Grabbed some Durban curry biltong and a few SA grocery items!!! Will be coming back to try their bunny chow!!!”

“Tasty Cafe & Bakery in Avondale is a popular eatery that I've often visited in the last few years. The overall impression I get is that this is a great place to buy food from or dine in with family and friends. The array of pies the bakery creates is unique and never disappoints! I went for the new Cambodian fish curry pie and hot chips and it was a great combo! The pie pastry is always on point, the curry flavour infused with lemongrass (I think) is unique and flavoursome and the hoki fish melts in your mouth! Also the hot chips were crispy and tasty! Great pie and hot chips and I'll be back again for more!”

“I’m amazed! Such beautiful dishes and they are delicious as well. Not to mention averagely priced for being much nicer and visually enthralling than in most places. Highly recommend this place, specifically the creamy mushroom rostis and the fluffy pancakes (have never eaten something so fluffy). The macchiato coffee and iced chocolate with almond milk were great as well. Free water, which is great. Nice place, chill atmosphere, friendly service. Very happy to have gone here! Will come again, especially for special occasions.”

“What an interesting little café, Vintage Café is. It has a real country vibe. Steady stream of customers. The menu is good and the food cabinet is inviting. The atmosphere was good, had the quiet hum of intense conservation, radio in the background, sounds of coffee being made, and intense chatter out in the kitchen. The service was excellent. Yes, there was a slight wait to be served, but then there was a number of customers being served and waiting for their coffee. The young lady making coffee did an amazing job and handled the pressure really well. My kāwhe was perfect, large cappuccino with choc (of course). Eggs Benedict with bacon was perfect (didn't stay long on the plate) and the mango smoothie, yum. All arrived promptly and were devoured just as promptly. It's definitely worth a visit, as is the gift shop next door.”

Great serving size, not huge but the quality was excellent. and the coffee had a nice strength and flavour, the perfect cup! The place was very clean, staff lovely, not too busy and varied seating, easy parking and nice location. Could do with more street signage”

“Love the vibe of this place, hidden gem inside a homeward/designer furniture store. They have their own covered parking space at the back of the building which is very convenient. Love the strawberry matcha latte, looked too pretty to consume. Had a good feast with reasonable prices. Service was great too, A++++ my friend accidentally spilled his glass and broke it. Waitress was so patient and super polite about the whole thing. Also highly recommend the tiramisu, and the duck island s’more ice cream sandwich.”
