“In the 25 years I've lived in New Zealand, I've never experienced hotel service like yesterday. When I requested a room change because the room was a little uncomfortable, the hotel manager was happy to accommodate me. They replaced our room and also split the single bad and adjusted it to the twin bed. All the staff were friendly, the staff serving breakfast in the restaurant were very friendly, and the food was delicious. Also, when I slept at the hotel last night, it was so comfortable and quiet. Thank you to all the hotel staff.”

“Super, super helpful - An Employee - Lance - Did what a dozen other's couldn't or wouldn't do - to find a very specific spare wheel for our car that didn't come standard with one. It was a mission for them - and they did it! Triple checking all the details with me to make sure it would fit - before putting on the courier to me:) Highly recommended! They Did put the price up significantly on the original quote, stating the reason being given- that the part was no longer falling under their generic rate, But I negotiated them down a bit. Seems like a theme here, reading the other reviews. Would still recommend.”

“This is my second visit to this clinic despite living in Whangaparaoa. Last year for a long overdue full mole check. And this year for the same. I’ve had Dr Vishnunadan both times and he’s great, as were the other staff. I ended up having two troublesome skin tags removed there and then and they organised it via Southern X for me. My appointment was at 1210 and I had been seen, moles checked and two large tags shaved off and back in the car by 1240. I see this clinic doesn’t have great reviews over others so I just wanted to give credit it where it’s due. I’ll keep going back here for my annual checks or any other issues as they do a great job. Thank you guys.”

“I have been here multiple times and these guys are awesome! They always fit me in last minute which I appreciate. The first time I thought I had a puncture and they had my car for a few hours and checked them and couldn’t find anything and didn’t even charge me, another time it was for a WOF and most recently I did actually have a bad puncture but turns out I needed 2x new tyres which are very expensive being run flats but was so appreciative they gave me the best possible price. I’m a single mum so always nervous about being taken advantage of with unnecessary repairs but that definitely doesn’t happen here. Thanks guys :)”

“First trial, was impressed by the reception staff who took the phone call. ( Previous call to opposition left me feeling very patronized!!) . Lightning Direct is attached to the WOF station on Brooklyn Rd. Good waiting time for work to be done. Given a fair quote for reasonable (jobs not kept up, for so long) assessed work that could be done in sections. Returned to complete one section. Very happy with the result. Plus chargers were a little under the quote. Second time back to the mechanics part, at Lightning Direct, also happy with the result. Additionally , a better payment for me as they didn't charge for what they didn't need to use. Appreciated that. Felt secure in dealing with the firm.”

Only feedback for improvement is directly mostly toward the Freedom online store - which is that delivery costs are expensive - especially when considering the amount of money already being spent by the customer. “Geddes Automotive; one of the most reliable in Auckland While visiting Onehunga mall, I heard a loud noise from the engine bay of my BMW 320i, so I decided to stop at the first garage I saw on Selwyn St. Peter identified the noise as coming from the radiator fan, which had deteriorated and sprayed metal particles all over the engine. He quoted up to $1000 to replace the whole fan module, so I left the car with him. When I arrived home, I read some very negative Google feedback about the garage, which scared me. I spent the following days wondering if I should take the car back. I checked with BMW, made quotes for the parts and even went to check on the work in progress. Turns out I didn’t need to be worried. They were professional and knew what they were doing. When the car was ready, I got an invoice for $700, not only under the $1000 quoted, but a quarter of what it would have cost me at BMW. He also identified a noise from the water pump, which I had known of for about a year. This was quoted at the time by Midas in the city as a $1500 job so I didn’t do anything. I asked Peter to quote for a new water pump. I picked up the car from Geddes with a new water pump fitted the same day for $600. Not $1500. Here we go. All your scary Google feedback turned out to be wrong. Thank you Peter and Allen. You made friends for life.”

“I ran in here on a whim for lunch and said ohh gosh what am I getting into… the Rogan Josh was decent enough with a great amount of meat, gravy and rice! The naan bread was cold but who’s complaining it was still good! The girl who served me was smiling and helpful. The price was good too. Maybe all the bad reviews helped them get their act together? I don’t know but I’m happy.”
