Really poor customer service experience with a sales assistant frustrated by their online pricing system mismatching with in-store. It's not the customers fault! These challenges will often exist, but the customer should never come away from the shopping experience feeling negative.
Called the store in the morning and checked the product availability. The store manager Angela picked up the phone and confirmed they can do store transfer. I went to the Albany store to make payment. After I got home. The stuff from Albany said that product was been on hold for another customer. Call the Wellington store. The stuff refused to explain and later hung up the phone when I was asking questions. I feel very disrespected
Excellent customer service provided by Angel, she had to rustle out back to get the item I saw on-line and helped me locate another sale item on the floor. She didn't make me feel that I was an inconvenience. Very friendly, and I bought 4 additional items I didn't come in for :-)
We arrived on time but due to having to try on wetsuits we hit the counter a little after close. The ladies were super kind. The gent even went out the back to check for my size and thickness. The price was amazing. Well with the shopping experience.
I have three kids aged 11, 7and 3 . We went to torpedo PORIRUA branch this morning to buy a bike for for our 3 old boy and me ,wife & he himself had the best experience ever of buying a bike . I cannot recall the name of the female staff who attended to us who was genuinely taking her job very seriously , very professional . Took the time and enabled us to get the best fit bike and helmet for our little one . We cannot thank you enough. I usually donβt make reviews like this , but cannot leave this experience without some kind of appreciation which is the least we could do.
Yesterday we received wonderful service. We bought a pair of Leki trekking poles and the young woman matched the price off a NZ website as it was the exact same product. We didn't know this existed and we chuffed at the discount. It was even better than a gold card discount and that was good too. I wish we remembered the young woman's name because she helped us immensely with her advice. We left left the store very happy and posted it on our personal Facebook.Telling friends and family and we will make Torpedo7 our first stop from now on. Once again, thank you.
I have found the sales staff approachable, helpful, and keen to do a good job. I have had some issues with using discount codes though. If using a discount code ALWAYS remember to take a screenshot. I recently used one in June 2023 to check prices, then went in the next day to check the sizing was right before I purchased. When I went to pay the discount code was not showing the same size of discount. I can't prove it because I didn't take a screenshot, but I am sure it was different (and markedly so).
Every time we have been there the staff are so unhelpful. Itβs like they donβt like their job or working with people - why do it if you donβt like it? The most recent time I was at the Porirua store was to order an item from another store because they didnβt have my size in the Porirua store. We picked up the item today and they ordered the wrong size - they ordered the size that they had in store not the size that I needed. It took them 20 minutes to order the size at the counter and they even ordered the wrong one! Stuff at Torpedo7 is not cheap - I would honestly recommend going elsewhere. Definitely worth spending more on petrol and driving to one of their other stores.
I've been waiting for 2 weeks for a bike to arrive and kept calling to ask where it was. I decided to go in store and found the bike was in stock and on display. My bike had also been assembled out back, but no one bothered to check. Poor service!
