My favourite dish here is the okra, eggplant and bean sambal but there are so many others too - the slow cooked pork belly with salted fish, butter floss fish, fried rice, honey soy chicken, the list goes on! The large tables upstairs are great for groups.”

Their wonton noodle soup is fantastic, the broth is so light, refreshing, and full of flavour, with perfectly cooked noodles, delicious wontons, and plenty of fresh vegetables, It’s a very comforting meal! The crispy fried wontons with a tangy sweet and sour dipping sauce are also really good too! The staff are always so lovely and welcoming, they even remember me and my order every time I come in, which makes it feel extra special. Aunty Mena’s is truly a gem and easily my favourite restaurant ever!”

Asian lady taking orders was really super friendly and well groomed. Place was a little bit small but the ambiance is all good. The place was well lit and images of the food on the wall with prices really helps with what to order. Price is a bit higher if going to be compared to the bbq Chinese resto on the ther side but taste and quantity is well worth it. Serving was really fast. Only negative we can think of is the shrimp on the vermicelli we order was kinda hard removing the skin but the taste was on the spot. We will definitely come back. Oh, and they have a reward system, they give you a stamp for every $35 spent and will get a $20 off on the 10th visit.”

The space is welcoming with a beautiful patio heated by wood burning fireplace and electric heaters. The staff is friendly and attentive. But the FOOD, y'all! Each thing we tried was creative, beautiful, and incredibly delicious. Tonight's fish was grouper and it was served 2 ways: fried and grilled - both absolutely stunning. The tomato and peach burratta caprese would have been delicious as is but was topped with basil ice cream instead of fresh basil and it was one of the most unexpectedly scrumptious things I've ever had.
