⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing experience. The WOF inspection at Sam’s Motor took far too long, and it felt like they were determined to find something wrong no matter what. Their prices for repairs, maintenance, and even tire replacement are not competitive compared to other places. Overall, poor service and not recommended.
Drop off and pick up was easy, full service and wof done, easy communication very satisfied five star
They understand what my car needs, a reasonable price. Workmanship is excellent. Highly recommended place to take your car for totally hassle free service and WOF.
Very quickly got in, WOF master dropped his lunch and started wof process. Many thanks for your lovely customer caring. While my vehicle was failed because of windscreen chip depth, but WOF master friendly explained and a lady with warm welcome paved the way. I replaced whole windscreen by smith&Smith in few days after and poped in SAM's motor and WOF master rechecked my vehicle quickly even he was busy.PASSED. they manner was outstanding friendly and honest. Nevr be the last visit. I found my place. 100% recommended.
A++ SERVICE I found that this place was cheeper then most places. I got front brake pads done and I don't think I was charged much for labour. Got 3 bulbs changed, they put a tail light in for me, one guy cleaned my Headlights for free and fix my wing mirrors issue for free Only got charged 305 for everything. Had about 2 guys doing the brakes and 1 other guy doing the tail light. And managed to pass wof ( they were a little picky with wof but thats because it had not had wof in a year. Either they forgot to charge labour or they have really good price & there's about 8 car parks out front and public parking all around it. One guy is not so good with English but he has good prices to make up for that.
Poor greeting if your not Asian, no where to park, waited too long so I left but wofs only 45$ so that's a bonus but they are very tough on their wof checks ,maybe to generate repairs?? I'm not sure??
His warrants are dodgy as. Let's deadly cars pass wofs. If you care about your safety stay well away
Don't get stung by these dodgy people who don't do your wof inspections properly
Worst WOF experience ever! Went there for a WOF and got failed due to a windscreen 'damage' which we did not even noticed. We had to make multiple trips to windscreen professionals to understand what exactly was the problem as were told by them there was nothing to be repaired at all as it's just a normal scratch (see photo attached). We then went back to them with the assessment check completed by these windscreen professionals however they are still not happy with it and said it's still not good enough and that these people are not NZTA approved and have no right to say this. I was failed due to a windscreen 'damage' yet the glass professionals are not enough to prove this. There was nothing to repair at all but we were asked by Sam motors to replace the whole windscreen. They then ask us to go to Drive Safe for their opinion and see if they are comfortable with it. At first we thought it is some sort of third party institution that provides approval for disputes like this however turns out they are normal WOF stations like them. We went there and asked for opinion. In 2 seconds the mechanics were confused why we were failed in the first place and happily stamped to support this(see photo). It was after we got the stamp from other testing station, another mechanic that does the same job as Sam Motors that they then are comfortable passing my WOF. What a load of rubbish and such a waste of time. I will never recommend this place to others and thank you to Novus Glass North Shore and Safe Drive Testing Station that has backed us up. Imagine changing the whole windscreen for a scratch which probably most cars would have. I wonder if they are even qualified to issue WOF if testament from other testing stations are required to pass a WOF.
