Hi Went for a wof here charged $90 on a sunday( acceptably) Failed wof on rear brakes (He said he could fix the brakes that day) & also failed fog lights. As the car has low km's I decided to get another wof inspection done at vtnz for peice of mind as I had a feeling the brakes were fine. I failed the Inspection at vtnz but not for brakes or fog lights it was bump stops on the rear suspension. One question i would like to ask is why did my brakes fail the inspection & with out taking the wheel off can that assumption be made. I noticed fog light on people's reveiws come up alot so it might pay to get your testing machine looked at.. Very disappointing to know that somethings failed when they are perfectly fine. Won't be returning to this place again.

Took my car in for a warrant, after some “repairs” I got the WOF BUT now the driver’s window doesn’t close at all. They removed the tow bar! When I queried them they are just not interested! Wasn’t their fault! What a bunch of scammers and crooks! Now they claim that I’m not a customer, so can I have my money back?????

Car broke down at warehouse , had no other choice but to walk over as they were the nearest , n ask if someone could check our car. Could tell they were busy but helped us anyways. Quick check even offered to drive it over. They replaced our battery on the spot and we were on our way Great fast service

I would give them zero stars if I had the option. A few weeks ago, I took my vehicle in for a Warrant of Fitness (WOF), which they failed. They told me it would cost around $475 to fix the issues, plus the WOF fee of $70, bringing the total to $545. I decided to go to another garage, where they advised me that the problems weren't that serious and offered to check and fix everything for $250. Finally, I visited one more garage, and they fixed my vehicle for $150, which included the WOF. Beware, they will try to rip you off! Not Recommended

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the owner, who was both unprofessional and incompetent. I handed over my keys for a Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspection at 8:50 AM, after which the owner proceeded to inspect the vehicle. He drove the car without taking care over bumps, despite knowing the vehicle was lowered. When attempting to place the car on the hoist, he was unable to position the arm underneath due to the vehicle's low height. After a 27-minute delay, at 9:17 AM, he informed me that he could not provide a WOF. I suggested that he drive the vehicle onto a piece of wood to create enough clearance, as this is a common practice at many other WOF locations. However, he dismissed the idea, stating that it was "too unsafe" to do so. This response struck me as unreasonable and unprofessional, leaving me questioning how the business continues to operate. I would rate this experience 0/5 stars and cannot recommend this service to anyone.

Went for a WOF on a Sunday a year ago. My car failed for missing a side indicator cover, everything else was fine. They gave me another day that week to come after I fixe it. When I came back, it was a different guy who told me that they didn't have an appointment for me and I needed to book for a different day. I showed him the check list, the only thing it needs is to check the side cover is put on. But he refused to even see. Ended up booking for another day after I had to take time off from work for nothing. Really bad communicators. But after reading the negative experiences of other people with these guys I consider myself lucky.

I have used On the go Eastgate for warrants on two different vehicles, Danny and the team are very professional and fair, I see some people have complained about failed warrants, I have also had failed warrants but it's about making sure the vehicles safe, and I have always felt Danny to be fair and reasonable

A person I knows recent rant about this place prompted me to write this review. Visited some years ago with my Classic Car to get a WOF, it was failed because of its exhaust noise was said to be 'too loud' based off his opinion and no actual metered measurements. Had owned the car 15 years on same exhaust setup and was event certified by LVVTA with the setup, never been rejected. Suggested I take it to back to LVVTA for a noise assesment, instead I took it elsewhere and of course it passed.

Very unprofessional. Scammers! No responsible for the job that they are doing. Went for a simple wof for a VW golf gti and they charged $400 to fix one front suspension. They didn't assemble correctly and they found a lot of excuses to not fix properly. Be careful, not recommend at all.
