We were asking for directions to somewhere for a big breakfast when the friendly gentleman at the counter offered to open up the kitchen and serve us. “This is now a new fish and chips shop that also sells fresh whole fish. The takeaways is fantastic. We had battered gurnard and chips. Huge portion sizes on the chips so we ended up buying far too many compared to what other shops provide. Fresh Blue Nose on ice too.”

I could only find one suitable fridge freezer for my space and called Harvey Norman Wairau Park to find there was one left and it could be delivered the next day (a Saturday!) but I would have to act quickly. The very helpful staff member Robbie took my details over the phone so it wouldn't sell online before I got there, then when I got there he made the transaction all very easy. The store also sells other smokers supplies and has a pretty cool selection of clothing and everyday carry bags too. Definitely worth a look.”
