   Would not suggest this place to anyone. Took my ute in for a wof and they failed it on a handbrake inbalance booked the ute in to ebbot toyota and had it looked at and they found no fault. Returned to these guys and they failed it again so i then took it to VTNZ who did a full check and passed straight away. Called hamilton wof station to tell them and was told we inspected it so no refunds. Been here many times before but that will be the last. 0 stars if it were possible. Save yourself wasting time and money and go elsewere.

   Took my vehicle for its annual WOF as the "no appointment needed" suited my daily routine. The vehicle failed on both external mirrors, the comment being to "secure both mirrors" Also noted that "mirrors to operate" The vehicle also failed because my Navman unit was located on the drivers quarterlight. After the inspection, the testing officer handed the paperwork to the receptionist and disappeared, without explaining the reasons for failing the inspection but left these explanations to the receptionist, totally an unsatisfactory and irresponsible decision. Not being satisfied with this, I sought a second opinion and took my vehicle to another WOF testing place. I would like to take issue with the inspector (A14175) for his poor customer interface and failure to adequately explain the reasons for failing the vehicle. By the way, the vehicle passed its WOF at another WOF station.

   READ THE REVIEWS. I would give a negative if I could. I have been going here for 4 years but will never go back. Rude and very disrespectful how they treat paying customers. I asked the inspector (the older gentleman) if he could be a little more respectful after he snatched the report out of my hand I was reading while waiting and tossed it over the counter and his response was "he doesn't need to and that he's not in a customer service business." Really? Just as bad is the lady behind the counter who supports and enables his behavior. This place does not deserve people's money and business as they don't value it. Edit after the response from the owner... You must be the lady behind the counter who allows the rude behaviour and then defends it. I guess you were the one who told me "you can leave" when I confronted you both on your attitude. Your response as well as the numerous negative reviews speak for themselves.

   First trial, was impressed by the reception staff who took the phone call. ( Previous call to opposition left me feeling very patronized!!) . Lightning Direct is attached to the WOF station on Brooklyn Rd. Good waiting time for work to be done. Given a fair quote for reasonable (jobs not kept up, for so long) assessed work that could be done in sections. Returned to complete one section. Very happy with the result. Plus chargers were a little under the quote. Second time back to the mechanics part, at Lightning Direct, also happy with the result. Additionally , a better payment for me as they didn't charge for what they didn't need to use. Appreciated that. Felt secure in dealing with the firm.

   I deeply regret visiting this place for my WOF without checking the previous reviews. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They failed my WOF and provided reasons that seemed fair, so I agreed and asked them to fix the issues. However, they were fully booked until the next week, despite sending me a price quote. Since I couldn't wait that long, I went to another place the very next day. The professional mechanic there fixed all the problems mentioned on the sheet they provided, and I waited for almost three hours to ensure everything was done properly. Later that afternoon, I returned for a recheck at the original place, only to be failed again. I was astonished and went to the reception to talk to the mechanic about the faults. However, the lady at the reception took over and prevented me from speaking with him. When I asked for details about the faulty items, she knew nothing in detail, which was incredibly disappointing. She simply said she couldn't go against the mechanics and asked me to return to them for another round of fixes. As a non-technical customer, it felt like a curse to be in this situation. I requested to speak to my mechanic over the phone, but they outright denied my request. I had to go back to my mechanic and explain everything once again. He double-checked everything and found no issues. I honestly don't understand what they are looking for. I strongly advise against visiting this place. It will only make your day worse. Just take a look at the comments here - not a single reply from them. It's evident that they don't care about their customers.

   Excellent WOF station I've used for approximately 15 years for many cars. Are quick to spot problems and quick to do a recheck (most times within the same day) Excellent mechanics who do a thorough check on your vehicle. Cheers

   If I could give a zero I would. Website advises closes 430 on Friday I arrived at 340 and was the only car there. Before I even got in the door I was advised they were closing in 20 minutes and don't have time. I advised I was there for recheck only and was told to come back Monday. I would never take my car there if I had the choice however would was done through my mechanic who uses this "service". Do not reccomend
