   Had a commonly known CEM fault in my Volvo they insisted on testing everything first regardless of me knowing what the issue was. And had me write a blank cheque for them to test for an unlimited amount of unspecified time. Horrible way to do business, not only that but the staff is incredibly rude and condescending. I wouldn’t touch this place again with a 10 foot pole. Further more they charged $260 for the “work” they did. I then took it to FUSEBOX in panmure and they fixed it with under an hour of labour.

   I had to use these guys earlier this year to fix a shoddy job. by a company that installed a towbar on my Toyota Avensis, its was quite a long story but these chaps came through for me, not cheap but as the saying goes, do the job once, do it right and that should be this companies motto. I recommend them thoroughly.

   I want rate a negative but it wasn’t allow, PLEASE don’t send your vehicle to them, they are absolutely awful. We have send the vehicles at 14 July because we found the coolant leaking, this work shop only close to us 2 mins and has a MTA approved so we can make a claim for our insurance. When we drop down the first day is very good and normal service. But when we when to there second time for some consult. They were changed, they said they are very very busy. They don’t know everything, please email. And we were email them, everything will take 1 or 2 days to reply. And not email back to us it was a txt message And we are trying go to the workshop again like early in the morning. They were still not friendly. After that he keep asking extra repairs, and cost our own, we are keep disputes will them, they will intimidation you to stripped or tow away your vehicle ( we still paid a full amount)because they are no patience. We want try to took back the vehicle, they said all the leaking hose was disconnected, all the risk in the owner cost. Finally we have no choice to agree all the cost and took back the vehicle at 05 Aug. It was a very very awful experience and nightmare. PLEASE PLEASE don’t go there , you will be regret.

   Geddes Automotive; one of the most reliable in Auckland While visiting Onehunga mall, I heard a loud noise from the engine bay of my BMW 320i, so I decided to stop at the first garage I saw on Selwyn St. Peter identified the noise as coming from the radiator fan, which had deteriorated and sprayed metal particles all over the engine. He quoted up to $1000 to replace the whole fan module, so I left the car with him. When I arrived home, I read some very negative Google feedback about the garage, which scared me. I spent the following days wondering if I should take the car back. I checked with BMW, made quotes for the parts and even went to check on the work in progress. Turns out I didn’t need to be worried. They were professional and knew what they were doing. When the car was ready, I got an invoice for $700, not only under the $1000 quoted, but a quarter of what it would have cost me at BMW. He also identified a noise from the water pump, which I had known of for about a year. This was quoted at the time by Midas in the city as a $1500 job so I didn’t do anything. I asked Peter to quote for a new water pump. I picked up the car from Geddes with a new water pump fitted the same day for $600. Not $1500. Here we go. All your scary Google feedback turned out to be wrong. Thank you Peter and Allen. You made friends for life.

   WARNING!!!! The owner of the garage has replied to my post and posted my personal information. I have reported this to Google and will be reporting him to the Police for breach of privacy and internet bulling. This guy is dangerous and should not be approached. I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD BEHAVE THIS WAY AND PUT A CUSTOMER IN DANGER.

   Absolutely terrible. Called them to check if they could check my brake drums for sizing and thickness to ensure they would pass compliance. They said they could. Took money up front. I chased them up and they said that they didn't do that type of work.- Did absolutely nothing but didn't give my money back. Didn't even lift them back into my car when I collected the drums again. I will never use this company again.

   Worst experience at a mechanics that you could ever have and so disheartening. Didn’t even fix the issue and cost me an insane amount. Never once mentioned a price when going over and back in text messages and took advantage of the fact that I was new to cars. Do not go here.

   Cost was double estimate for front brake pads and rotors. Happy with job that was done. ADDITION TO THIS REVIEW Brake rotors developed the dreaded shudder after a very short period. Didn't contact Geddes at the time as we were out of town for two months and I wouldn't be doing the 10000 km cut off for warranty Rung this morning to be told that they weren't interested in any claim for repair. Won't be going back or recommend anybody else take their vehic!e here

   These people are thieves in disguise. They are rude, can't communicate and do NOT give you anything for your hard earned money. I was charged over $400 for them to allegedly run a couple of computer diagnostic tests and tell me they still didn't know what the problem was with my electrics. They wanted me to leave the car overnight and incur even more costs. Avoid this firm at all costs.
