“Great place to stay for a few days. To have a kitchen and laundry machines was very useful. Good walkable location to a variety of restaurants. Staff were very helpful, even lent me an umbrella for the wet weather. I had only one issue, and that was the door to my room would move when the next room open and close their door. So it sounded like someone was trying to open my room door. Was a bit unsettling. Overall it was a very good place.”
“Great location, with car parking included. Very accommodating staff let us park after check out in the car park until we had to leave to catch ferry at 11 am. This allowed us to explore on foot. The room was warm, comfortable and quiet with nice views.”
“Wondful experience. Love the old lift”
“We had a fantastic stay at U Residence Hotel while visiting Wellington for a conference. The location is absolutely perfect—close to everything we needed. The team went out of their way to look after us and made our stay extra special. Special thanks to Hetanshi and Chinmay for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Wellington!”
“I have just stayed here over the weekend for a conference. Had a 3rd floor room, so quiet I forgot I was at the airport! The staff were amazing, nothing was a problem. When I asked for the room temperature to be lowered it was. When I rang for more toilet paper it turned up in 5 minutes. The à la carte breakfast is good value for money. Would love to go back one day even though I live locally!”
“The staff were so helpful and organized an upgrade that we weren't able to get online. Throughout our stay the service was outstanding from all the staff. They were all so lovely and professional. They made us feel so special. The hotel is beautiful with lovely decor. Our room was really nice with a lovely view out over the city. And of course there is the chocolate hour! A few tips. It is worth paying a little bit more to get a room with a view. Where the hotel is is a bit isolated with no shops or restaurants nearby. It is worth paying to have your car parked there. We enjoyed just staying and eating at the hotel and only left once during our stay. The only low point was the bathroom door. Because it slid outside the door opening, there were huge gaps so you could hear everything!”
“Perfect location close to Cuba Street, Te Papa and the waterfront. We stayed for 3 nights in a one bedroom apartment which was great so my partner could sleep while I watched TV or was on my tablet. Great having an oven and the bonus of the washing machine. Even though we checked in late and out early and there was no one at reception at the time there was a back up which was perfect. The staff were pleasant and helpful in any dealings we had with them. Would highly reccomend.”
“We stayed for 2 nights in the suites. It was a super nice and modern city appartement. The location is really just perfect, close to everything. Housekeeping is offered for stays more than 7 nights, but that‘s completely okay. The suite is equiped with a washing machine and a dryer and even washing liquid. Loved it!”
“We love this amazing tranquil place in our hometown Upper Hutt. Blessed to have husband and wife time together from Mon 24 Dec to Thur 27 Dec 2018. Elaine and Alan are gr8 hosts, with a continental breakfast every morning. Thank you for our blessed pamper time @ Tranquility Homestay! Definately a home away from home. Blessings Abundantly. “This is a hidden gem. Tucked away a little, this is a terrific place. Historical and modern all at the same time. Marty was the sensational staff member who made our experience such a great memorable event. It was nice to see some of the Wigram Airfields history being kept for generations to come.”
“Fantastic walking tracks and best of all your dog can come too Alfie loved it.”
“Great experience. Check-in was quick. Park is huge with lots of space between campers. Kitchen, BBQ, and washrooms were brand new. Laundry takes 2x $2 coins per machine. Overall great stay would recommend. Recommendations for park: double sided dump stations to allow more efficient departure times”
“Our service from amberley hotel restaurant Was a really memorable event. We were greeted by a friendly, well groomed young man . Offering us the choice of seating in the tastefully decorated modern clean restaurant with breathtaking local artwork. Sean our waiter took our order he was verry attentive and friendly bringing our order it was beautifully presented, and the food was delivered hot . The meal was delicious, succulent meat fresh seasoned vegetables and all with gravy . Sean repeatedly checking on our needs. Wonderfully delicious food, friendly staff and warm inviting space. Thanks to Sean and the team we will be back.”
“Really good campground, friendly staff, has God toilets and showers, kitchen and laundry”
“Have stayed at this hotel many times and I have to say it definitely is one of my favorite hotels to stay in lovely staff lovely rooms comfortable beds and spa jet bath in our room, the only thing I would recommend is getting the place fitted out with sound deading can hear people in room next to you other than that the restaurant food is pretty awesome, my main highlight everytime is the buffet breakfast it is top notch”
“Excellent place to stay if you’re a backpacker! It’s very cheap, but I was surprised at what it is for the price. The location is amazing and is about a 10 minute walk from New Regent Street for breakfast. The bus that goes directly to the airport is right by the backpackers as well. Beds are very comfy and come with a privacy curtain. The only downside is that the female room has one bed without a curtain, which I didn’t like/expect. The guy on reception was very kind and upgraded me to another room without any extra cost which I was very thankful for. The guests were very quiet and there’s an area to meet fellow backpackers if you want to. I highly recommend coming here, it was a great experience. It’s better than most backpackers which cost more.”
“We stayed here twice recently on our way in and out of NZ. The service was amazing. Each person we spoke with was friendly and helpful. The woman who works the night shift and does the shuttle runs in particular was incredible. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There’s an onsite restaurant and playground. The shuttle service was very much appreciated as we had one of the last flights in and first flights out. We would definitely stay here again.”
“Good location close to airport. Nice clean room”
“I had a great stay at Scenic Hotel Cotswold. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean, tidy, and comfortable—just what you need for a relaxing visit. The location was also a big plus, being close to amenities which made it super convenient for getting around. Overall, I was really happy with the service and the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay.”
“A great place to stay and enjoy this lovely city! The welcome by the staff has been fantastic and the food and staff in the restaurant is also fantastic! Many thanks to you all! Our room also is so lovely and homely with the living room enjoying views of the gardens and so very pleasant. The bathroom works really well and the king size bed is just like home! Thanks for everything. From the Bonds.”
“Super friendly people who are so helpful. The best motel I have stayed in for a long time”
“I originally picked Ramada for the parking, but the stay completely exceeded my expectations. The room was the best of my whole South Island trip — spacious, with a comfy king-size bed, washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. Absolutely loved it!”
“I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Elms in Christchurch. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt warm and welcoming. A special shoutout to Rajendra at the front desk; he was exceptionally friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. From check-in to answering questions with patience, he truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. His hospitality made the experience even better and gave the hotel a very personal touch.”
“What a wee gem. The owners are lovely and make you feel so welcome. The trees all but hide the traffic, sight and sound. The service station is near for snacks and morning coffee. The room is clean and the birds are chirping. It’ll be the first place I’ll book next time I’m in town.”
“We stayed here couple nights with our 5mth old baby, while in transit in Chch due to flight issues. Nice place close to city center with free wifi, comfy rooms, and clean & tidy facilities. All staff we interacted with at Front desk, housekeeping, and morning breakfast were friendly and polite. $24* for a staple breakfast buffet which had enough on there to get us started for the day. We were in a stressful situation with our holiday logistics, and staying here was easy and everything was perfect. Thanks again team! Guru & Becky. Dunedin”
“From reception to check-out, this hotel delivered a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with a slightly unusual layout (external sink) but a fantastic view and a very comfortable bed. Casting was also built into the TV and seamless. Both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent—great food and attentive service. The staff’s hospitality stood out throughout the stay, making it feel warm and personal. The location is ideal, right in Cathedral Square and close to the bus interchange, making it easy to explore the city. A 4-star hotel with a 5-star experience—highly recommended for anyone visiting Christchurch.”
“Stayed in the studio for a week and enjoyed its comfort. The receptions were friendly and helpful, while the room was super clean and functioned well.”
“Perfect gateway for your Christchurch visits. It is near the centre, but also easy to reach. The rooms are very clean and big. The owners are kind and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!”
“Nice campsite beside the airport. It might get a bit loud from the road and planes. I loved the spacious TV room with cosy sofas. Got to have it all to myself for a few hours and enjoyed watching a movie. Kitchen and bathroom are clean and functional. Staff is lovely.”
“Enjoyed our 1-night stay. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Was able to enjoy Disney + Netflix and free tea coffee service. Definitely stay again.”
