Stayed as a family of three and booked the Family Suite. The room was spacious, well laid out, and came with the amenities we needed. The bathroom was large and nicely done, with attractive tiles and backsplash. Good location facing the park and only a few minutes from the town centre. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay.

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I booked the Champagne to be in our room on our arrival. I had been sent a text asking what time our arrival time would be. I had stated between 12 & 3 pm as this fell in the time period given. I was also on a flight so could state the time period we would be arriving. On arrival our room was not ready. We sat in the reception area for 10-15 minutes until the room was ready. The Champagne was not in the room. When I contacted the reception their response was β€œit appears we forgot about that when would you like it”. When I arrived is when I would have liked it. Then there was the periodic fan noise that kept me awake what more can I say. The menu was not what we expected. No starters/entrees but when asked they could do some of the items as starters!!!! However the food we ordered when it arrived was really good. Overall we were disappointed. We moved to the Novetel at the airport what a complete difference. The food was outstanding entrees clearly defined excellent food excellent accommodation. Really great service. I think someone at the airport Novetel needs to communicate with the Novetel located in the square.

The hotel is strategically located in the city center. Unfortunately the cathedral is under renovation and is not visible. The hotel is very beautiful, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The room has an excellent view of the city, the bed is very comfortable, and there is a good selection of pillows. Breakfast was perhaps the only flaw. The savory selection was varied, but the sweets were a bit limited. As for fruit, they served melon pieces with the rind on, which was in contact with the pulp, and we found a couple of pieces with mold...perhaps there is room for improvement. Overall, an excellent hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I cannot express how fantastic my experience was! From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and warmth. They made an effort to remember my name, greeting me every time I walked through the foyer. This personal touch made me feel like a valued guest, which significantly enhanced my stay. The service was outstanding; the team couldn't have been more helpful. Whether I needed assistance with directions or anything, they were always eager and available to assist. Their friendliness and attentiveness truly set this hotel apart. The accommodations were comfortable and clean; with all the amenities I needed. I particularly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the attention. Overall, we all left with wonderful memories and a sense of having been truly cared for during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place that combines exceptional service with a welcoming environment!

From reception to check-out, this hotel delivered a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with a slightly unusual layout (external sink) but a fantastic view and a very comfortable bed. Casting was also built into the TV and seamless. Both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellentβ€”great food and attentive service. The staff’s hospitality stood out throughout the stay, making it feel warm and personal. The location is ideal, right in Cathedral Square and close to the bus interchange, making it easy to explore the city. A 4-star hotel with a 5-star experienceβ€”highly recommended for anyone visiting Christchurch.

The hotel is neat but a bit outdated. I am giving only 1 star review because I had the worst experience of waiting for my food from the room service. Ordered the food at 6:50pm and the food arrived at 8pm. If I have not followed this up it might be longer. Food is also average. In the future, room service will be the last option specifically if your diabetic and don’t like to have hypoglycaemia.

Nice hotel, very clean and tidy. Likely looking for a soft refit in the next couple of years as some chattels a little tired. Well worth the stay.

Simple hotel. Good service but slightly outdated room. Well located in Christchurch. Even if you book a room with breakfast, a decent coffee needs to be paid extra.

Had a nice steak dinner. The porterhouse was made to perfection. Medium was mouthwatering and juicy. The passion fruit parfait was deliciously light and fluffy. Both were beautifully presented.

Good location, room is cosy. The only problem we have is the parking. They can't guarantee a car park even you want to pay for it. It is first in first served. If you are late to check in on a busy weekend, you may not able to reserve a car park.
