   Rooms are as always very comfortable, great beds and love the curtains and private chargers. Toilet has a shower so its private and nice - missed a hairdryer though! Staff is friendly and location was good near to the riverside market and all. Only thing that deduct stars is paying for luggage storage. Its such a pity, when booking a high end hostel that this is not included as a good sevice.

   It is very close to Christchurch CBD, the place is cosy and clean but it just gets noisy at times due to the audible closing of heavy doors, and some tenants didn't follow the house rule of being quiet from 10pm to 7am. All in all, Haka House is still a great place to stay if you want to explore the CBD area and not stay in bed all day.

   Really good hostel in the center of the city ! I was in a shared room of 4 beds. There were curtains wich is always appreciated. Room was clean. Beds really comfortable. Quiet Bathroom also perfect. Really good kitchen, well equiped.

   ★★★★★ Absolutely Loved Our Stay! Trip Type: Vacation Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Christchurch! Haka House is modern, clean, and has a brilliant communal atmosphere. The kitchen is a cook's very clean, the common area is perfect for relaxing. The staff are wonderful, the location is ideal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great value and a friendly environment. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with local tips and everything. Modern, Super Clean, Great Location. A great great experience thank you Haka house for your hospitality, I’ll definitely come back ✌️

   Excellent place to stay if you’re a backpacker! It’s very cheap, but I was surprised at what it is for the price. The location is amazing and is about a 10 minute walk from New Regent Street for breakfast. The bus that goes directly to the airport is right by the backpackers as well. Beds are very comfy and come with a privacy curtain. The only downside is that the female room has one bed without a curtain, which I didn’t like/expect. The guy on reception was very kind and upgraded me to another room without any extra cost which I was very thankful for. The guests were very quiet and there’s an area to meet fellow backpackers if you want to. I highly recommend coming here, it was a great experience. It’s better than most backpackers which cost more.

   Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great Kitchenett, social hub, laundary room, you name it. Great Very close to the city and the transport centre where you can take buses to anywhere in CHCH. About rooms: found a spider attached to a towel when entering into my room; towels were not properly washed and bed linen had a stain on it. About quiteness: the house is an old one so don't expect any soundproof walls. Those backpackers were extremely loud after 10PM and it seemed that they didn't know what the term "Quite hours" was. I was awaken several times by them after 11pm. About wifi: I don't know how other customers felt about wifi, mine sucked, weak signal and constantly dropping off.

   So glad to have this YHA back. Stayed a couple of nights in a double room, shared bathroom. Never had to wait for an empty bathroom. There are two large lounges, and two kitchens - they seemed to be well stocked. My bed was comfortable, and I had my own TV with the standard freeview channels. It was quiet and I could park overnight just outside. The one negative is the flurry of emails about online checkin and checkout - it's actually quicker to do both in person at the counter. Oh, and there was a weird email request to verify my card, days after I had booked. This might be a scam attempt - I emailed to query it and did not get an answer.

   We stayed here for 4 nights. Lovely hostel - quiet, super kitchens with very nice crockery, clean, nice outdoor seating area. Very nice friendly staff - especially from the French lady on reception. Perfect stay!
