Nice location, just beside Botanic Gardens, Cashel street just next street, walk to down town in 10min. Clean, has a shared kitchen for the times when you feel like cooking. Room is comfy, has cooling and heating. Grohe shower taps. Can be improved : one lift, but still manageable. Wifi a bit slow, but also manageable.

We stayed here couple nights with our 5mth old baby, while in transit in Chch due to flight issues. Nice place close to city center with free wifi, comfy rooms, and clean & tidy facilities. All staff we interacted with at Front desk, housekeeping, and morning breakfast were friendly and polite. $24* for a staple breakfast buffet which had enough on there to get us started for the day. We were in a stressful situation with our holiday logistics, and staying here was easy and everything was perfect. Thanks again team! Guru & Becky. Dunedin

The hotel was located opposite to the Botanic Gardens and next to a Museum. The area was already an attraction. There was a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. The other restaurants were within walking distance. Parking lots were enough. Front desk staff were helpful though the computer system seemed not so efficient. There was a lift serving 5 storeys. There was a public living room in the lift lobby on the room levels. The room was well designed with many surfaces to put things on, including the luggage. The bathroom was also good to use. The size of the shower case was acceptable, though the shower head was not that kind of massage type. The wall or door was not so noise blocking. Buffet breakfast was basic but was acceptable relative to the price. Freshly brewed coffee was available at a low charge. But in view of the total price and for the sake of supporting charity, it was worth a stay.

I shared a twin room with a friend at the end of our holiday in NZ for 1 night . Comfortable beds , great shower, clean room with small balcony . Great location across from the Botanical Gardens. Bar & cafe onsite however closes early - crying face . Hotel will hold luggage if thereβs a delay between checkout & flights. Reasonably priced & great value , updated decor . Highly recommended.

Biggest problems being: 1) no explicit/notable notes about 'shared bathrooms and toilets'; 2) no free parking lots; 3) no kettle for boiling water; 4) no hair dryer; 5) no tap water available in your room, you have to reach level 1 kitchen for tap water (which closes after 10pm). Otherwise wouldn't end up chooing it as our last stop at NZ. We only got to know this from google reviews as we are about to check-in. There are no (or at least not clear enough for us to notcie on booking.com) clear destription about the missing or shared amenities. Service-side, however, the staff are generally helpful and informative. And the position is indeed accessibile to quite a few attractions in CHC. Would recommend for people who do not care much about the missing facilities I mentioned above.

I cannot rave about this hotel enough. I had a FANTASTIC stay here. Only one night but I wish it was longer!! I stayed in one of the apartments. The room was perfect - a large, spacious bathroom, lovely views over the park, comfortable bed and a kitchenette with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was here in a cold snap and the room was lovely and warm thanks to two roof heaters. The best part about Give is 100% of profits go towards community programs in Christchurch - I love that!!! Staff were so friendly and helpful, I couldnβt ask for more. Definitely stay here if you are travelling for business, especially if you have work with Christchurch Hospital which is a quick walk.

Super nice hostel! Exceeded expectations. Friendly staff, super nice bathrooms, felt like a hotel. 6 bed dorm was very spacious and bright, nice park views, and 20m from entrance to botanical gardens. would highly recommend. To note, not a very social one, but good for a quiet night

As l was to stay in the hotel alone l was not worried too much about the size of my room and the fact it had a shared bathroom and kitchen. I imagined that as the price was $90.00 it must be okay. But on arrival the receptionist was unwelcoming and when l finally found my room it was tiny, with just a single bed and a small table and chair. I went to the kitchen which was on another floor to make a drink but found there was no tea, coffee or milk. I decided to upgrade which was a big improvement, but at cost! The receptionist the following morning was a lot more helpful, otherwise l would have given only 1 star.

Went to Christchurch with friends for the weekend. We had a large group and were accommodated well. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and modern as were the shared bathrooms which were also plentiful and ideally located. The location is excellent- very close to the town centre with lots of bars, cafeβs, restaurants and street vendors just a short walk away. Would absolutely stay again.

The location was next to the park which was handy. Though is a good walk to the centre. Hotel was relatively clean. Staff at reception were excellent. Seemed to have good facilities. My room was too close to elevator which meant my sleep wasn't great. Soundproofing was not the best so you could hear when neighbour room doors slammed.
