Iβm a disabled driver in a motorhome, pulled u today and managed to get my knee scooter out of busβ¦ takes me about 10 minutes, went up tamp to bottle store knocked many times but no response, back down ramp, went to next door but steps stopped me and that one as well as next, tried to get someoneβs attention but to no avail so got scooter in bus finally, managed to rip a couple of chunks of skin off my legs trying to get back in and left, then travelled on to Cheviot and managed to get a giggling girl on phone, told her I was disabled but said they could not help me, I just wanted a couple of boxes of beerβ¦ so I guess the old wives tale of southern hospitality are just a myth, made it to KaikΕura and still no beets and itβs bloody hot. Thanks folks
Food was great. Pizzas were very flavorful with plenty of toppings on a light base. Very friendly and welcoming waitstaff.
The staff were incredible. Super welcoming, really kind to our situation. My children were so impressed by the care they received. Chrissy in the rsstaurant went above and beyond to make sure we were good, she is so kind. And the lady that checked us in was really nice too. The rooms were clean and tidy. Food was delicious. Thank you for making a really stressful situation a little easier.
Our service from amberley hotel restaurant Was a really memorable event. We were greeted by a friendly, well groomed young man . Offering us the choice of seating in the tastefully decorated modern clean restaurant with breathtaking local artwork. Sean our waiter took our order he was verry attentive and friendly bringing our order it was beautifully presented, and the food was delivered hot . The meal was delicious, succulent meat fresh seasoned vegetables and all with gravy . Sean repeatedly checking on our needs. Wonderfully delicious food, friendly staff and warm inviting space. Thanks to Sean and the team we will be back.
Great food and service on a cold Sunday night. The waitresses were very friendly and informative and if they didn't know something would ask. As it was our first time dining there we thought we would try all courses. Good luck with that. I had the seafood chowder as a starter, mistake. It is a large very tasty dish full of seafood so stands alone as a main. Next was the steak and veges. Well cooked and tasty. No room for any dessert. My wife loved her pork belly bites starter but couldn't finish her tasty pasta dish. We'll be back but on a week day night as it was very loud with a group of very noisy kids who didn't seem to be under any adult supervision. The staff had to keep apologising for the noise to all the other patrons but it wasn't their fault.
Good selection of dishes on the menu. Food came out quickly, was yummy and hot. Good prices too.
Great hotel to stay in Amberley. The room has been reburbished to a high standard and was quiet, clean and warm. A great atmosphere in the Crown and Shepherd Bar. The service and meals were excellent. Will definitely stay again
We stayed here to out of convenience which ended up being an excellent choice. The rooms were very clean and recently remodeled. They did an overhaul from the pictures and made extensive improvements. The customer service was above and beyond helping us decide to stay for the night. The lady showed us the room so we could make our final decision. Dinner here was exquisite! We had beef roast, chicken curry & seafood chowder. EVERYTHING was delicious. The curry melted in your mouth, the taste of coconut and curry were fantastic. The beef roast was tender, flavorful and fresh. Seafood chowder was creamy and packed with fantastic flavors. Each and every dish made you want to more. We enjoyed the food, customer service, and the ambiance of the whole stay. Thank you everyone for a fantastic evening. We had just wished the restaurant was open for breakfast. However, they have bread, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, etc in the shared kitchen available.
What an amazing place. Stayed in room 6. Fantastic large shower. King size bed. All perfectly decorated. Then you have the restaurant. Meals well presented and cooked divine. Quite restful sleep. I will stay here again. Awesome customer service in the bar. Thanks guys for a memorable stay.
