Great place to stay with our fur baby. Very welcoming and the communication has been amazing and very easy to follow. I can't express how helpful the staff have been leading up to our stay. We truly appreciate the smooth check in and parking instructions. Just make everything easy in a city you aren't familiar with. Thank you
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel! I booked a room for 2 adults and 3 kids, and the staff went above and beyond by adding an extra bed for one of the kids without me even asking. The check-in process was incredibly easy and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was super spacious with a walk-in wardrobe, and the beds were comfy. The location is fantastic right next to McDonald’s and BP, and very close to New World and Te Papa, which made getting around so convenient. The staff were quick to respond to my emails and provided all the information I needed. This was by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you
Very impressed! Great communication, although sometimes they doubled up on their communication... This apartment hotel is located on the 4th floor, lift available. The entire floor is spotless and well looked after. Sound proofing between rooms means you don't hear anyone. The King Studio room was spacious, super clean and very comfortable, with a balcony. The bathroom was big. The bed was extremely comfy. We had our two dogs with us, which we had pre-booked. They were treated like stars - 2 dog beds had been set up for them along with bowls and treats! A very welcome surprise, which we loved. The only thing lacking was black out curtains. Parking is directly across the street from the hotel. Location is superb, close to waterfront, cafés and shops. Highly recommend if you're travelling with furry kids or not. We will definitely stay again. Thanks U Residence :)
2 bedroom apartment was great. Spacious, comfy beds and very handy for the waterfront. Decor a little tired but great communication and easy check in.
We had a fantastic stay at U Residence Hotel while visiting Wellington for a conference. The location is absolutely perfect—close to everything we needed. The team went out of their way to look after us and made our stay extra special. Special thanks to Hetanshi and Chinmay for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Wellington!

Not a memorable stay. Not bad but not good. Certainly does not feel like the 4 star stay it claims to be
We had a brilliant stay at U residence particularly as it is in a fabulous location and is pet friendly! We booked a studio apartment and the room was very large and spacious with plenty of room for my husband and I, our baby and dog. We also had a nice balcony which was great. The location is awesome, close to the waterfront and city centre. We also made use of the parking across the road (35 a day so not cheap but v conveniently located). We saw the staff several times and they were always super friendly and welcoming. We made use of the washer/ dryer in the kitchen but the dryer did not work at all which was super annoying
I never post reviews, even if I've had a bad experience, but making an exception. Room seemed ok at first but the bed completely fell apart as soon as I laid down. Has wooden slats which I tried to fix but the attachments were broken so it kept falling apart. Ended up pulling the mattress off and sleeping on the floor. Everything is contactless, including check-in, so no one to contact. Ran into to the manager the next morning who was apologetic but refused to even provide a partial refund.
Decent size room and friendly staff is counteracted by the worst shower since the first settlers used buckets. Almost impossible to find a decent temperature and when you do, it doesn’t last. The ideal location doesn’t turn out to be ideal when you have moronic drunken locals screaming at the top of their lungs from 2am on a Sunday morning and the regular leaning on horns at the petrol station nearby
