“You can't beat Wellington on a good day”
“Enjoyed our stay- lovely home- beautiful views and great hospitality- thanks Dave”
“Awesome location and wonderful people. It is a little off the beaten track but well worth it. John and Christine were great hosts, and John cooks a delicious breakfast.”
“Stay here for 3months absolutely love it.”
“The Albany is the quintessential kiwi pub, but with next level food. I had the surf and turf on Turkish bread. The 200g scotch filet and real calamari, muscles and prawns melted in the mouth.”
“A BIG thank you to all the staff at Waipuna Hotel who took such wonderful care of my kids during their 4-day stay. They were so happy with the room, and we could truly feel the friendliness and kindness from everyone they met. I had a few requests for the Reservation Manager, and it was clear that every detail was looked after with care. We are really grateful for the effort and hospitality – it gave us great peace of mind and made their stay very special. Highly recommend Waipuna Hotel for anyone looking for a place with comfort, warmth, and genuine service. :)”
“LOVE Orewa Beach Holiday Park! Such a great location, great bathrooms and showers. Lovely games room and kitchen. Always a great visit!”
“Staff are excellent, very friendly and the food is very reasonably priced - I had a big bucket of delicious mussels for only $14. Wide drinks selection. And the music is very good wink wink. Hard to complain, thank you for a good time”
“I really liked this hotel. All the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Always welcoming you with a big smile. The rooms are fully equipped and very comfortable. The bed was fantastic. I had a very good rest. The bathroom is great, too. Overall, I had a fantastic and very quiet stay at the hotel.”
“After an initial rocky start with noisy neighbours, the hotel reception shifted me to a different floor. The old room and the new room were identical. Both of them were great and quite clean maybe 9/10. The bed was comfortable, also clean and medium firmness, which I liked. Shower pressure in both rooms were good. Generally, I think this is a good place to stay if you need to be on Auckland's North Shore. Interactions with reception and housekeeping were always pleasant. There were very, very minor issues like the kettle flap was broken, the dryer ran extremely loudly. I was a little embarrassed to use the dryer at night due to the noise. The towels were thin and could be thicker.”
“I stayed at The Grand Millennium for a week. What a beautiful hotel! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms a very clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar snacks were nice. The upstairs bar has a nice ambiance with the piano man playing, very nice. Very close to the Main Street, City Rail Link, Sky Tower, Convention Centre and Aotea Centre.”
“I’ve traveled extensively across the North Island, staying in various accommodations, and this motel stands out as one of the best my family and I have experienced. The customer service was exceptional, far exceeding my expectations. From the kind owners who regularly checked in on us, to the friendly and respectful cleaning staff, every interaction was a pleasure. This motel is ideal for a wide range of travelers, whether for business or leisure, families, tourists, or couples. I’ll definitely be staying here again during my next trip to Auckland. Its central location, close to shops and bus routes in both directions, is incredibly convenient, and having a washing machine and dryer on-site was a real bonus. The grounds were well-maintained, and the owner took great care in keeping the gardens and lawns pristine.”
“Would highly recommend this QT Auckland. Checked in for a weekend stay. Landed in Auckland Friday morning from Australia and I knew I was early but I was greeted by the amazing Matilda at the front desk. She was more than happy to look after my bags (gave great coffee recommendations) while I went and killed some time until my room was ready. The bar area/ foyer area was clean and well presented and the team serving were more than happy to help. The room was lovely. Plenty of space and the bed was so comfy. Loved the feel of it all. The shower had plenty of space and there was even black out curtains to help with the jetlag naps. Night one. I went up to the rooftop and was greeted on entry. Although I had no booking I was promptly sat. Ordered this tasty cocktail and the lamb skewer. (So good went back the second night and ordered both again) Location was great. 13min walk to Skycity or 5min uber. 7min walk along the water to the Vaiduct and Auckland CBD.”

“The hotel was located in the city center. There was an entrance facing the shopping road with an escalator while the main entrance was on a side street with a drop off area. Valet parking service was provided at a charge. But it was convenient especially in the district. Beside the building was a big carpark where visitors could use by themselves. The security level was high since lift service, gym and indoor pool were all accessible with the room card only. The pool was heated and good for exercise. The size of the room was unexpectedly spacious. The balcony had a close view of the Sky Tower which added an advantage to the hotel. But there was a new building under construction and might block part of the scene. Both bathing tub and closed shower area were available in the bathroom. All electric switch positions were convenient for guests. The pantry corner also facilitate boiling water and washing fruits, etc. To better serve the persons staying in such a big room , extra luggage holders could let two or more luggage opened at one time. A clothes stand or a rail to hang the clothes would be perfect. There were many eateries and shops within walk. We would choose this hotel again.”
“5 stars through and through! The location is top tier, right by the casino, loads of great restaurants, and plenty of shopping with walking distance. The rooms are just as impressive: massive, comfy beds and great showers. Service was excellent, food was spot on, and the price was really reasonable too. Would absolutely stay again!”
“Family enjoyed their stay here! Friendly service from reception to kitchen staff. Room was spacious and clean, beds were comfy. Pool was a treat for the kids. We had a great stay thanks! Good selection of hot food and cereals for breakfast, only suggestion would be to add some crackers to the cheese and fruit selection ☺️ thank you HH 10/10”
“Amazing place! Had three families staying for a special celebration….couldn't have been more perfect!”

“We often stay at city of sails as it is close to our children's house, but it is also a lovely motel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds are very comfy and the rooms are nicely decorated and clean.”
“My favourite place to stay when going to Auckland. Great management, nice and clean, very helpful ( when I rocked in with my trailer, the hotel manager Gotham was so accommodating). Plenty of good eateries at walking distance . See you again soon”
“Highly recommend staying at this immaculate property. Perfect location for Rainbows End, only $10 in an Uber. Warm, welcoming place, luxurious carpet underfoot and everything is so well done. Unlimited tea, coffee, milk. Beautiful place, restful stay.”
“Top service from start to finish. We stay here every time in Auckland and are always met with excellent customer service, friendly helpful staff and clean rooms with all you could need. We left an item here recently and the staff were extremely helpful in finding it and getting it back to us. Highly recommend!”
“Staying here tonight. Place is amazing so far. Especially for the price. Were very accommodating, switching us to a ground floor room to make it easier with a toddler. Room is clean and large and dinner from the restaurant was delivered to our door and was delicious. Wish we'd booked for another night!”
“Everything went smoothly with contactless check-in. Chalet was really well-equipped with everything for cooking. Even had an iron. Beach is so close by, I could just leave the keys in the lockbox and wander down for a quick swim. Definitely recommended.”
“QT Wellington is a fantastic stay. The service is warm and genuinely friendly, especially the team at the restaurant, which makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The location couldn’t be better — just across from Te Papa museum and right in the heart of Wellington’s vibrant waterfront. I also loved the artsy atmosphere throughout the hotel, from the lobby, the bar to the rooms, which gives the place so much character. A great choice if you want both comfort and a creative vibe.”
“Coffee is A++ and I’m a coffee snob, was nice to finish a good coffee. I had chicken wings, while they’re were a tad oily they were still tasty and a decent serving! Had a chips on the side and that was also a decent serving and were very tasty, bonus points for not having dry wings. Partner had the chicken burger which he really enjoyed. Overall a really nice experience, the lady who served us was super polite and had fab hospo skills - very welcoming. Fire was also on so we were toasty warm. We will back back in the summer ☀️”
“Rooms were comfortable and tidy . The staff were approachable, professional polite, and attentive. The restaurant meals were excellent delicious. Amazing artisan arts in the area with the best tourists attractions Definitely recommend for friends and see you again”
“My family and I just spent 3 nights here and had a lovely stay. The rooms are excellent and the staff at the dinning room are very thoughtful and caring. A special thanks to Inder who helped my wife and I set up dinning for two young children every morning. I would definitely stay here again.”
“I stay in Wellington a lot and I think this the best hotel I've stayed in. Everything was just perfect; the drop off and pick up area, the access to the main street, the room, the bed, the amount of milk and coffee, the shower pressure. Even the breakfast options at Sierra cafe were perfect. Will stay here from now on.”
