If you like sweltering rooms with no air conditioning and terrible wifi service, you'll love this place! We felt like we were baking the entire time we were there and had to resort to using our own mobile internet. On the second day we did not receive any fresh towels, and because the building is abandoned by any staff from 5pm onwards, there wasn't much we could do about it. We could have stood naked and spread eagled against the industrial-sized fan to dry off, but that's beside the point. The elevator was inactive for maintenance during one of the days we were there, not ideal as we had a pram. The second of the two elevators just wasn't working full stop. On top of all this, we were harassed by staff for payment before we even arrived for our booking on both occasions. Never has a hotel expected payment before we even entered the building (unless, of course, you prepay online). Because of this harassment, we ended up not staying the second time but being charged full price for it anyway. I'm aware that cancellation must be at least 24 hours before check in. But they wouldn't even let us change our booking to the following night. We were up for a family funeral and needed extra time at another location to sort the deceased affairs. Couldn't explain that to the person on the phone well enough, so we just told them we weren't coming and let them keep our money. Oh well. The location is great, but honestly I would spend a bit more and go somewhere where they at least have air-conditioning. Don't recommend. Won't stay again.

I stayed here with my family including three young children for two weeks. We stayed in the three-bedroom apartment which was the perfect size for us and came with great amenities. The location was phenomenal being only a few blocks from Cuba St and the waterfront. The best part of our stay was the hospitable service. Math, Adhya, and the cleaning staff provided world-class customer service and were extremely responsive. If we ever need a hotel again in the area, this is our first stop.

Perfect location close to Cuba Street, Te Papa and the waterfront. We stayed for 3 nights in a one bedroom apartment which was great so my partner could sleep while I watched TV or was on my tablet. Great having an oven and the bonus of the washing machine. Even though we checked in late and out early and there was no one at reception at the time there was a back up which was perfect. The staff were pleasant and helpful in any dealings we had with them. Would highly reccomend.

I was looking for something affordable and easy walking distance to the Michael Fowler Centre, and this place ticked both of those boxes. I had a 1 bedroom suite and I was pleasantly surprised at it's size and facilities (including a washing machine). My room had a nice view including a nesting gull on the balcony (that was interesting to watch!). There were a couple of maintenance issues but the staff helped immediately, and actioned a room change, and the second room was perfect. Comfy bed, very quiet room, and enjoyable stay. I'd happily book here again.

Well appointed recently updated I think, unusual shaped room with couple steps that could be hazardous to older people, quite small but was a studio room. Nice and easy to stroll into town and waterfront. The best was the lovely friendly receptionist!!

GOOD: Loved the contemporary design. Everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom was wonderfully spacious. They offered tea and coffee, had an oven and washer/dryer, big fridge/freezer and microwave. We were able to make our own dinners and breakfasts, which helped keep costs down. Bed was comfortable. Great location. The staff were wonderfully accommodating and gave the best customer service. There is also free WiFi. Very good value for the price. NOT GOOD: I could hear EVERYTHING. I could hear the upstairs guests walking/banging around at 3am, and being woken up at 5:30am by gurgling water pipes and flushing toilets meant the quality of my stay was diminished. Some guests didn't respect the 'quiet after 9pm' rule so I could hear them talking/clomping in the hallway late at night. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're a light sleeper. Also, they supply body wash but there was no shampoo or conditioner. If I'd known in advance, I would have bought my own.

Overall is good, however i consistently faced AC problems. I total stayed 5 weeks. First week stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, it is awesome. Second week to fourth week stayed in a single bedroom unit at 2nd floor. I faced way too many time that AC break down. Either not functioning, too cold, or too hot. It is torturing. 5th week i request change room, then all is well. It is good place to stay but the technical problem is BIG problem.

On viewing the 2 bedroom unit photos we chose to book it for our 5 night stay. On arrival we had been given a very small unit that was shown as standard apartment in photos. The staff when approached told us they had none of the units I had photos of which are on their website. They told us to speak with the manager who wouldn't be there u til Thursday Friday. During this time we went short of tea coffee and sugar and tea towels which we had to ask for. The air conditioning unit wasn't working and on our 3rd night was given an electric heater. There is a constant noise all day and night from the range hood and vent in bathroom. Would not recommend anyone to stay. Was given a 40% discount voucher to use in next 3 months which is of no use to us but the management refused to take off our bill for this stay. Will be going further false advertising.

The room was very clean, the bed very spacious and comfortable but the noise of the fans was like being in an aircraft. It wasn't the air conditioning because i turned it off and when that didn't work the night porter even showed me how to turn it off at the meter but nothing worked. Take ear plugs
