“We had just traveled 7 hours to Auckland to pick up a new caravan and wanted to get as far south before parking up for the night. We stumbled across this place after a Google search in Putaruru. What a life saver. Cash in the key return box, a powered site for the caravan and we were set for the night and a well earned sleep, before driving the rest of the way home the following day. Thank you Kea!”
“Sure, this place is a bit run down except they try their best. It's a really old building with some long term residents. Under renovation apparently. Great location.”
“Excellent value for money, reliable shuttle service, and welcoming staff. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone needing a comfortable and hassle-free stay near Auckland Airport”
“The stay was wonderful, almost felt like a second home because of the comfortable atmosphere (not to mention the adorable cat ^^). Breakfast was provided, good heaters, fresh towels, not too noisy, what else could you ask for? Glen is one of the most nicest owners I've yet to meet for a while. 5/5”
“Very good stay at Grosvenor Motor Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring Hamilton. Great value for money — would happily stay again.”
“Great little place not bad prices. You get all the basic amenities like hot water, laundry which you pay for only a couple of bucks, a microwave, TV with basic cable, fridge, tea & coffee provided & small milk packets, and of course towels shower gel and shampoo provided. The rooms come with heater to stay warm during cold nights but you hardly feel the cold in the room. The room I was staying had a single bed jointed together and had warm quilt and window. Walking distance to all major attractions within city center.”
“Was great as an overnight stay in Auckland after flying in. Easy transport with free bus. Good price. Friendly staff. Comfy bed. It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't....suited us fine”
“Really good , comfy and very clean”
“We have been coming to stay here on and off for 20years . Close to Ormiston Shopping Centre and all the amenities we need. The rooms we have had over the years have all been great, clean and tidy.”
“My room was really well appointed, with everything I could possibly need for a one night stay. I loved the extra little touch of the Christmas card and treats. Just one recommendation - replace the terry-cloth bathmats with non-slip bathmats, as my bathmat slipped out from under me when I was stepping out of the shower, and I had a little fall. But otherwise, everything was great and the price was such good value, so I would happily return.”
“Allenby motel is in the ideal spot in terms to two great shopping malls. Hunters Plaza shopping mall is 10 minutes walk. In the other direction is Manukau shopping mall is 20 minutes walk. There is a bus stop right outside the motel. There is a great skate park inside the park.”
“I had a wonderful experience with Oakwood Manor. The staff were exceptional, Simon and Lennie went the extra mile to get me to the airport in time for my flight amongst crazy concert traffic recently. My car was safely stored for the week and Lennie picked me up on my return. Simon welcomed me home with such genuine hospitality. I was not expecting to much of the room but was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, tidy, comfortable and well appointed for my short stay. The overhead fan was noisy but there was another available in the room. Overall exceptional value for money. I will definitely return. Thank you team.”
“Stayed 2 nights. I spent many nights in this hotel in the early 2000s. The character hasn't changed, it is old world delightful. The room was clean and well serviced. This was a nostalgic stay for me but I am really happy I chose the "La Grand". It is incredibly good value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”
“We stayed at the Apple Inn Motel in Hastings for 2 nights over the Christmas–New Year period while attending a funeral in Hawke’s Bay. With everything booked out and only 1 day to organise our accommodation our options were extremely limited. The only room the Apple Inn had available was a studio, which wouldn't have been our first choice, but we had little alternative. On the positive side, the motel was exceptionally cheap, especially given the time of year. The Wi-Fi was excellent and completely free, which was a pleasant surprise. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely - very friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help. Don’t be put off by some of the low reviews here. The Apple Inn is an underrated rough diamond that offers outstanding value for money, particularly if you’re looking for something affordable and practical during a busy period.”
“Absolutely lovely motel. Beautiful clean rooms. Great service & great location. Would definitely stay here again.”
“The service at the apartment reception desk is very good, and the cleanliness of the garbage room and laundry area is excellent. The apartment environment has been improved. The newly opened restaurant downstairs has a nice taste.”
