    When I say this is by far the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in, I genuinely mean it. This place was absolutely filthy. We stayed for two nights while working in Hamilton and wanted to leave within the first hour. The moment we opened the kitchen window, around ten flies swarmed inside. By the second night we had to buy fly spray because the place was so putridβ€”these flies were so sluggish they’d land on us, stay on our pillows, and barely move. The bedding was just as appalling: no actual duvet, just a pile of sheets, and the β€œpillows” had no real pillow slips, making them feel unhygienic and cheap. The carpet was so grimy we kept our shoes on the entire stay. Even the bathroom was a jokeβ€”two bottles of β€œbody soap,” one mislabeled as shampoo, while the actual shampoo was being used as handwash by the sink. The whole place had a creepy, uneasy atmosphere, like you were being watched. I genuinely do not recommend this motel. And if you ignore reviews, at least come prepared with your own pillows, toiletries, indoor shoes, and definitely fly spray.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It is FILTHY!! The filth starts before you even get into your room. (Do not take your shoes off!) The room stunk. The curtains are filthy and almost see through. There's cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and behind the doors. There's mould behind the filthy toilet, windows don't open properly. The drain in the bathroom smelt funky. Venetian blind in the kitchen was grosss. Rusty frying pan and that was all that was there for us to use. No dishcloth, plug didn't even fit the sink. The build up of dust on the skirting boards and under the beds showed me the room hadn't been cleaned properly for YEARS. Pillows were stained and lumpy. They don't service the rooms. (They don't clean them to begin with) Management is almost impossible to deal with, they don't seem to care. Took me 3 phone calls to get a usable frying pan. When I checked out I had to throw the key through receptions window. There was writing on the walls to go with the filthy hand prints all over the walls. How that lady isn't embarrassed by the state of the place, I don't know. It is disgusting

    My whanau and I were fortunate to have the assistance from NTA to stay at this motel while I was booked in for a major surgery. Thank you NTA. Appreciate your help. However, I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND staying here. I was already in hospital when my whanau checked in on Tuesday. They were given a twin studio and told we were checking out on the Friday. So my whanau paid to extend the motel to the following Wednesday as I was due to come out and recover from surgery on Friday. My whanau realized they needed to upgrade the motel room to cater to my needs. So a phone call was made to NTA for the upgrade. We then found out that the room they were given was not the room booked. My whanau was ripped off not only with the downgraded room but also with the extension. Managers would not upgrade or give any refund unless NTA confirmed their booking. When I was released from hospital to come recover I was disgusted with the state of the upgraded room. It was filthy and stink of damp smell. Cobwebs around the windows and floor not vacuumed, floors not moped, walls dirty. Moved the beds and furniture boom more filthyness. I phoned the manager and told her I wanted to see her at my room so I could show her what was wrong with the room. She had an attitude. Until she saw me. I requested that the room and beds be fully cleaned the next morning. Showed her everything. Greatfully the manager agreed and apologized. But, it didn't stop there. Our drains kept blocking we asked them to get it sorted. It was now the weekend so we had to stick with blocked drains for 3 days. Monday came along I rung the manager and she had attitude again. 'Whats wrong with the room?' I said: come ill show you. She comes over and again attitude, what's wrong?? She said. I showed her blocked drains and flooding from outside my room window flowing out to the driveway. She walked away and we had the plumbers in later that afternoon. This is something I shouldn't be stressing about while recovering from a major surgery. If a business is providing a service and want guest to pay for it than at least give a service with a smile if you know your in the wrong. NTA needs to know about these things. We cant have people like these ones take advantage of the vulnerable. I am also going to strongly express that NTA take this motel off their list for any future bookings for whanau to be taken advantage of, just like we were. Lesson to be learnt. Check the reviews

    There wasn't anyone at reception, waited 15 minutes for Someone to turn up. On door saying to push the bell!!! Wasn't a bell to push but two numbers to ring which I did. In the room, the curtains had several hooks missing and a large amount of the hem was undone. Only one very small worn out face cloth was provided for the two of us. Skirting boards in the bathroom were filthy. Dangerous getting into the bath for a shower, however the water pressure was wonderful. The cupboard where the sink and kettle were, we'll, the paint was peeling on the grubby doors, the sink was very stained with tea stain which I cleaned with our toothpaste and the very worn out very small teatowel. When checking out, again no person at reception! Had to ring again, person who answered sounded as if I had woken them up! I told them I had just throwen the keys through the window and they had landed on the floor by the desk. Wo t be staying there again.

    Definitely not like the pictures. Drive to room was a warning g in itself past empty rooms full of stuff, broken window, graffiti and even a random car tyre. Refused to stay, walked in room looked at the crying walls and windows, spa had no headrests, broken, smelly room. Was like a decommissioned motel, where a horror movie would take place. Felt so unsafe. Pls do not stay there. Cannot understand 4 stars!!! My rating would be - 10. The only good thing is I did get a refund.

    We've stayed here before and it has definitely gone down hill A LOT over the past 2 years. It seemed clean and unlike other reviews we did get a bathmat, sufficient towels, tea towel and working TV. There was a stand alone electric heater that warmed the room up quickly. However, there was no brush or cloth to use to wash up our plates/mugs; the soap dispenser over the basin had no cover so you had to squeeze the bag directly; the shower wash and shampoo in the shower were the same liquid; what had been a narrow flower bed is now an advanced weed patch; the room next to us seemed to be occupied on a permanent basis and they had regular (noisy) family visitors; most other rooms were unoccupied and the ones at the back were, hopefully, being readied for renovation. Would have been acceptable for $110 or something. Will not be visiting again.

    We were going to stay one night, but left after we found the TV didn't work and we got abused from the young staff member cause he said he couldn't do anything about it and got very abusive and was swearing at us. Pillows were stained and no pillow cases on them. Exposed electrical wires hanging out of wall, illegal. Room stunk and big hole in ceiling, you could see up into the rafters. Paid $160 what a waste of money. Can we get a refund? Bet we can't!! We requested the owners phone number and was refused, told to mind our own business. Bad bad service from this place.

    Clean sheets and comfy bed Location was great but what a dive. Shared my room with the cockroaches. Pink mold around basin, no breakfast service, no sky as advertised. Couldn't wait to leave. Do not stay here, it is really gross

    Do not stay here! Ended up leaving as we felt unsafe due to unsavourable people hanging about. There's no kitchenette or spa bath as advertised, no hand towels/soap. The rooms are run down, wifi doesn't work. Pillows are lumpy. Our room was a maze of weird hallways with locked doors everywhere. Location is good close to centre of town but at what cost....
