We have been coming to stay here on and off for 20years . Close to Ormiston Shopping Centre and all the amenities we need. The rooms we have had over the years have all been great, clean and tidy.
We found this gem of motel online. We had to be in the area in order to be closer to one of our family members who had their surgery done in the nearby Ormiston private hospital. The proximity to the hospital is simply fabulous! We couldn’t ask for more! The owner of the motel is a lovely lady who accommodated our needs with attention. The room looks freshly renovated to higher standards than most of the motels that we have been to date in NZ. It has a freshly laid carpet, TV, free wifi, and all amenities of the kitchenette, a lovely bathroom, an awesome water steam in the shower head. The room was big and cleaned daily, which is great. I can honestly not find any unfavourable critique to give here. So, thanks for the service and if we do need to come back again to the area, I won’t hesitate to book again. Merry Christmas!
Avionne is absolutely lovely to deal with, she works so hard. This place was perfect for hubby & I. We had an issue with booking.com & she kept the room for us while we sorted our side out. Took our 2 grandchildren to Auckland for the night. Stayed in the 2 bedroom unit with spa. Could not fault it. Lovely & clean. Nice pillows, comfy bed. Avionne was a lovely host. Thankyou for the stay. See you next time we are up that way.
Stayed for 4 nights, meeting family from the USA before they tour NZ. Tidy rooms, easy parking, central to local shopping center and easy access to motorway. Traffic noise in the early morning and late afternoon because situated on main road and thru road.
The Dannemora Motor Inn provided Myself and a group of stranded passengers turned friends with accommodation, warm beds and complimentary hot drinks. After some devastating weather that swept through Auckland and caused flooding all over, The Motor Inn was a safe place amongst the chaos going on outside. My bedroom was spotless and gorgeously decorated with plenty of amenities to make me feel at home. Avion made sure that our stay was comfortable and that assistance was nearby. My fellow stranded passengers said this. The room was beautifully presented, everything was in it. And avion came with milk if we needed it - Jillian I also enjoyed my room, clean and well presented - Lou Avion I enjoed trying to get your television on, but I got a smile from you this morning because I got it running. I thouroughly enjoyed my stay - George there was another duo of people an aunt and neice who also enjoyed there stay and whom also became friends. On a personal note, this small adventure allowed for new connections to be made and the Inn allowed for those connections to begin. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would certainly stay again. - The four Musketeers
Unit was lovely, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Owner is a lovely lady who couldn't do enough for us. Was very apologizing for the mixup re which motel we were meant to go to, and also when I told her there was no toaster in unit. It had been stolen and she hadn't been told by staff. Would highly recommend it.
Comfortable Bed, clean room. Just need to update windows to keep some of the Auckland humidity out. Manager was very helpful and let us store our luggage prior to check in so we did not have to worry about smash and grabs whilst at lunch
Bed couch needs replacing as so old and sinks in middle. Not pleasant. My sister had the bedroom and had to buy fly spray for the ants. No milk provided (1st time ever in a motel). Had to constantly ask for 2 flannels (2 of us) extra tea towels, dishcloths. Sign up saying if dishes not done will be charged. Then supply what needed. Always asking for more toilet paper. Shower came out like water coming out of a tap. One flow. Stayed for nearly a week there as hard to find accommodation in the area we wanted. So over priced for what we got (and didn’t get). Never again
