“After years of frustration navigating healthcare as an immigrant to Aotearoa New Zealand, I’ve finally found a GP and an overall medical practice that actually listens, follows up, and has genuinely useful telehealth appointments 24/7 on the app. Not going to after hours or urgent care first is a hugely helpful thing, not to mention a GP as competent as Dr. Dorien, who is friendly and warm and genuinely knowledgeable about a range of issues. I was skeptical of the Tend app but am finding a huge peace of mind from the wraparound services. For how expensive healthcare is getting here, it feels like my money goes a lot further in this practice than it has in years of sloppy and inconsistent healthcare. I NEVER write reviews, so this is from the heart.”

“Have been at Ratanui over 15 years. My doctor is a hero - Dr. Joanna Lang. Dr. Sethi is also wonderful, as is Wendy, the receptionist. I haven’t experienced bad service here but only go to those two doctors. There are a lot of new ones, which is good - please be patient with them, some are very new, diabolically busy and stressed out! We should be glad they’re taking the load off of our old favorites.”

“That blonde lady receptionist was amazing. She saw me carrying my daughter in, she went out of her way and grabbed me a wheelchair before we started. Very polite, funny and service was brilliant. Wait time was fair because nurses and doctors took their time to see and they sent us to Starship which was they taken care of my child. Hats off to hardworking nurses and doctors. Have your break when you need it and God bless to you all for the amazing work for the community.”

“Just reaching out to extend warm appreciation and gratitude to the Palmerston North Ambulance Paramedics,Nurses and Doctors,Orderlies of A&E, Observation ward and Surgical Ward for all your caring and evaluation, analysis, procedural treatment, pertaining to the days I spent under your care!. And even though did not have the appetite to enjoy fully, the ,Food Catering Department presented such beautiful nutritious appealing meals. You all made me feel I was in good hands which is very reassuring when you are feeling under the weather and not functioning quite as normal!. Anyone who needs medical care from such a caring team at Palmerston North Hospital can feel rest assured they not only care for you, but from my personal experience go over and beyond to get to the root cause of your problem to get you back on the road to recovery!. “Been with Accuro for maybe 5+ years and can’t be happier. It’s a little more work than southern cross which has the automatic approvals but the benefit is you don’t need to only use southern crossed approved providers. Made a preapproval request 2 months ago and approved in a day. Payment was made directly to the provider too. Easy. The cyber security incident was tough on them but they are now joined with another major not-for-profit insurer in NZ, Unimed, and I would say the future is bright for them. Recommend you evaluate them as a provider - not for profit is the way to go for insurance.”

“I have to preface this by saying that i had a really bad experience with someone who helps take the calls for The Doctors company itself but...... I was met with a phone call which i was highly disappointed with and whilst in a lot of pain was the last thing i wanted to deal with. I then went onto ask if i could speak to a nurse and was told because i have some outstanding fees that i would have to pay before i could talk to anyone at the practice....... Anyway While i waited for a nurse to call me back with all my faith in the health system in NZ lost i was met by 1 call from a nurse called Jill and another call from a nurse called Nicky from the Green Meadows practice. These 2 ladies were absolutely incredible and made me feel like they really cared about patients and the job they are passionate about. It made my day and completely restored my faith that there are people in this industry who still care and do there absolute best to help when you are sick or need medical advice. 5 Stars for Nicky & Jill thank you for your support!”

“Dr Esther Loh did a fantastic job of looking after my rather nervous and sick 3 year old at the viral clinic. I definitely recommend her. My child is recovering well post her care. I also highly recommended Dr Longworth for children. We have seen him at his previous clinic and followed to Silverdale Medical due to outstanding care. The receptionists were friendly and booking an appointment was far more pleasant than other clinics. The nurse who called to triage my daughter and decide how urgent she was and how soon a booking was to be made, was also wonderful. Overall a very great experience.”

“I don't get why the reviews here are so low, just because it's a clinic and you go there because of something that's making you feel bad doesn't mean that it's a poor institution. A public Healthcare service is fundamentally different than something like a pub or tattoo parlor. Firstly the staff are all nice enough, including reception which is a fairly boring/draining position. I'm a visible minority and an international student and genderqueer, if there was any discrimination I'd notice it, but nope nothing. Wait and reservation times during busy periods can go for weeks to maybe two months depending on the specialization of what you're requesting, but this is a pretty good speed if you compare with public Healthcare elsewhere in other countries etc. And for anything that can be done at walk-in, yeah the pace is great. In terms of the actual healthcare, everyone makes it a comfortable environment, which in of itself makes any treatment procedures discussion etc easier. Staff are also willing to accommodate and speed up processes avoid road bumps etc to make the service more efficient faster logical you get the idea. Glad to see people aren't bending over backward to follow healthcare beauracracy when it doesn't make sense. It's not like you have surgery or anything precise here, so there aren't really measures of procedure quality that can be used as points of detriment for here. I could not get one of my medications I got prescribed for back home, but it's simpmy not legally produced in New Zealand that's out of their hands. For mental health psychiatrist therapy etc it's more subjective what your experience is, but I didn't have any issues with my appointment. Can't speak for others obviously, but even if you felt you had or it just was a poor session, it is not reflective of all the collective services here. TLDR yall trippin, this is a good service. Would like to see people try out healthcare clinics in USA or Germany or heaven forbid a developing country.”

“Do they require payment upfront and this feels weird? Yes. Are they expensive? Yes. Is there a wait time? Yes. ...but that's private health in New Zealand for you. Anteris isn't the only one and these aspects are a symptom of a bigger, deeper problem. That said, my experience with Anteris has been EXCELLENT. The admin team would promptly reply to my emails, they were friendly and helpful, and sent all the info I needed before my appointment. The psychiatrist I had my tele-consults with is spectacular. He was direct, knowledgeable, open, friendly and very easy to talk to. We managed to pinpoint what the issues were and come up with a treatment option that has been life-changing for me over the past couple of months. The what's, why's and how's were clearly defined, as well as the treatment process moving forward. All very professional and reassuring. It was money well spent and I recommend this clinic.”
