We’ve also found the nurses to be very kind too.”

“I have been going to Newtown Medical Centre for over 30 years and all my experiences are positive. In that period I have had many doctors, all who have been great. Nikesh, who I currently see, goes above and beyond his duties and is very comfortable to discuss issues with. I have never had problems with the reception. I have always found them professional.”

“I was coming down for industry training and assessments, and the location of my classes was in an area that didn't have any accommodation close. I called the motel, and Jasbir was very accommodating to my needs as I was arriving after reception hours. Jasbir made the process so seamless. I was even offered a cheaper rate for a room that met all my needs. Room was clean, with a nice balcony, and bonus I had a kitchenette to cook my meals. I will be using AAA Mana Motel when my staff come down to Wellington for training. Thank you AAA Mana Motel.”

“Love the food variety they have and their generous portions! Had their chicken curry combo with the chicken fried rice and it was the best. However only downfall, they included way too many potatoes and only 2-3 tiny chicken pieces; it felt more like a potato curry”

“Did a Saturday night shopping stay over. Recommend paying the extra for a harbour view. Just stunning. Great room and facilties. Staff were helpful. Location - can't do better than this. We used public transport.”

“have stayed here twice now, and its now my go too. the staff are friendly, the rooms are a great size and have everything you need, Easy check in, nothing is a drama. Its walkable to everything, lower hutt shops, station village pub. close to motorway, even tho you dont hear it, theres no staff walking round, its quiet, My daughter who is 9 loves it. We have booked 1 bedroom apartment twice, it feels very homely. the only thing bad i could say is maybe a bit more attention to detail on cleanliness, but that is me OCD, its very tidy overall.”

“I dont know what the other reviewers got but our room has a new bed very clean bedding, it's very clean, kitchen and bathroom are well appointed. Very quiet esp on a Saturday night. Good parking outside our unit. Yes we had to pick up key at 95 Hutt Road abt 5 properties away that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. This is a budget accommodation and very very nice for what we paid and rated accordingly against that”

“The cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be improved, but this place is overall insane value. The bed was comfortable and warm, the private bathroom was everything you need, and while the tv was pretty old it has sky sport and sky movies and everything. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was very good. Some people seem to be complaining about cleanliness or dated rooms but for the insanely low price it just doesn't make sense to hold it against them.”

“Awesome portions! I don’t get why there’s so many negative comments, but this shop sells a very large portion of a dish and it’s very flavourful. Honestly, for NZ$25, I got a very huge portion of rice that was packed with flavour and a good amount of yoghurt to go with chicken nasi briyani. A free jug of plain water was served and the tables were clean. Although there is only takeaway option, He saw that I was solo travelling and allowed me to dine in. The owner is very welcoming and humble man. Coming from an Asian country, I approve of his dishes and the flavours and the portion along with the reasonable pricing .”

“Great little place not bad prices. You get all the basic amenities like hot water, laundry which you pay for only a couple of bucks, a microwave, TV with basic cable, fridge, tea & coffee provided & small milk packets, and of course towels shower gel and shampoo provided. The rooms come with heater to stay warm during cold nights but you hardly feel the cold in the room. The room I was staying had a single bed jointed together and had warm quilt and window. Walking distance to all major attractions within city center.”

“Just reaching out to extend warm appreciation and gratitude to the Palmerston North Ambulance Paramedics,Nurses and Doctors,Orderlies of A&E, Observation ward and Surgical Ward for all your caring and evaluation, analysis, procedural treatment, pertaining to the days I spent under your care!. And even though did not have the appetite to enjoy fully, the ,Food Catering Department presented such beautiful nutritious appealing meals. You all made me feel I was in good hands which is very reassuring when you are feeling under the weather and not functioning quite as normal!. Anyone who needs medical care from such a caring team at Palmerston North Hospital can feel rest assured they not only care for you, but from my personal experience go over and beyond to get to the root cause of your problem to get you back on the road to recovery!. “I don't do Reviews! But I do now, I feel so compelled to write about Dr Kai. What an amazing caring warm hearted man. I've had several surgeries from him & there are more to come. Firstly I'm so surprised! from what I am seeing I think I will have hardly any scaring, He seriously did his best for me, I am so greatful & when I have mentioned a concern with him he immediately said he will have a look..Have you ever being to a Doctor and was made to feel like a hypochondriac, I truly can say you will never feel that with Doctor Kai. He's even given up this lunch break for me, that's how busy he is!. I wish you could be my permanent Doctor..Thank you for my life'.”
