“I unfortunately had to come to this Hospital as a family member ended up in the spine unit, being flown down from Wellington, as we don’t have a that kind of care system here, so back in August 2025, My Dad and I hope on a plane and headed down, I was blown away how great this hospital was and all the nurses and doctors look after my cousin so well, also the set up down there you have for the family members that have people staying in that unit, is so amazing awesome, the apartments are awesome, if I ever win big on lotto, I’m definitely donating to Burwood Hospital.. thank you”

“In for 4 days as the partner for an induced birth. All staff and especially the midwives were excellent. Interested, caring, compassionate, and communicative. Couches/chairs were comfortable for overnight sleeping. Thanks to the whole care team.”

“I arrived last week in an ambulance after a hip replacement elsewhere to be greeted by a bulging ED with resources clearly stretched. Despite that I was seen quite quickly and was admitted for a cardioversion. The procedure was completed quickly and effectively the next morning. Despite being a large and complex facility the staff were terrific; thanks to the cardiologists, theatre staff, nurses on Ward 10 and the many others who assisted. All were super helpful and cheerful which was much appreciated.”

“Took a friend here yesterday with Kayla the pup. Prior to going had emailed for information on immunisations. Prompt friendly response from staff. Phoned to book and staff friendly and happy to help. Great staff and very reasonably priced. Visit calm and friendly wait, vet gentle with pup, picked up heart murmur explained it well. Good checkup, information on behaviour management. Suggested puppy schools and trainer. When to worm etc. Loved the backpack/front pack idea for walking around Mitre10 and getting her used to all sorts of people and noises. Great reminders about not putting pup on the ground where unvaccinated dogs Iggy have been, due to high rates of parvovirus in Chch at moment. I’m going back here to get our girl backup to date health wise. Thankyou”

“I would highly recommend these guys. Had to see them over a long weekend when our vet was closed and have since transferred our 2 dogs and cat over to them. They are all so helpful and go beyond expectations. They even rang to check up on our cat the following week to see how she was doing and have given us really great advice. They really care about your pets and very well priced. 10 out of 10 ⭐️”

Catherine, Sarah, Melissa, Dawn, and student nurse Jess all went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and well cared for. I know there may be other staff members who also contributed to my care, and I sincerely appreciate all their efforts, even if I haven’t mentioned them by name. The hospital facilities were also impressive. My single room was kept spotlessly clean, which added to my comfort during my stay. The meals were well-prepared and tasty, ensuring I was well-nourished as I recovered. Overall, my experience at St George’s Hospital was outstanding. “These volunteers are angels. I found a baby bird on my driveway, presumably fallen from its nest with no sign of a nest or mum around. I struggled to care for it so the next day I brought baby bird in here. These people were welcoming and caring and said they’d give it the best chance of survival. They also keep in touch with progress. Can’t thank these people enough.”

“Have been taking my cat to Claire and Colin at vetcall for a few years now. I find them to be very thorough and caring veterinarians. The nurses here are super lovely as well. They do also offer afterpay as well as royal canin food bag and pouch recycling. Highly recommend this wonderful team!”
