The nurse who was doing the infusion inserted the needle incorrectly several times. She attempted the needle in three different spots on my right arm, which caused severe pain, swelling, and visible veins popping out. My arm became swollen immediately, and the nurse herself became visibly worried and stressed. Because of this mistake, she then used my other arm and rushed to finish the procedure. This experience was very upsetting and unprofessional.

After being a patient at Mana Medical Centre for nearly 40 years , I am appalled at how far this practice has fallen. My recent experience with Dr. Karageorge was the breaking point. He was, as usual, unavailable - so I was sent to a locum doctor who, without any consultation, halved one of my long-standing medications. When I called to request a repeat prescription, I explained what had happened and asked for the regular amount to be dispensed. Instead of correcting the mistake - or even continuing the reduced dose - Dr. Karageorge flat-out declined the prescription and demanded another $72 consult to get a medication I’ve been on for many, many years. This is not patient care. It’s arrogance, indifference, and a complete disregard for continuity and safety. After almost 40 years of loyalty, I expected respect and professionalism. Instead, I was treated like a nuisance and forced to pay for their own error. If you value your health, your time, and basic human decency, do not trust Mana Medical Centre. They have lost their way, and Dr. Karageorge epitomizes everything wrong with this practice. Shameful. Never again.

Mana Medical Centre provides an extremely poor level of service. We arrived only five minutes late and they refused to give my baby her vaccines, yet they made me wait ten minutes to see the doctor even though there wasn’t a single patient there. The receptionist was very rude and completely unprofessional, with no basic courtesy. The doctor gave my baby a completely incorrect diagnosis, and the nurse had to google information about the vaccines before giving me guidance. It is honestly shocking that this place is still operating. The service is terrible, the staff lack knowledge, and they have absolutely no sensitivity when dealing with a baby. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone.

I was a patient at Mana Medical for 16 years. I went to them 20 times for extreme menstrual pains, and only now that I have moved out of the area have I finally been diagnosed with endometriosis. Terrible GPs who dismiss everything, and receptionists are even worse! GPs made me feel as though I was wasting their time and being extremely dramatic. You are not even worth 1 star.

Had enough! I am looking at moving from this practice, I do not feel they have my health in their best interests any longer. This practice used to be great when it was run by Vic Allcock and Mike Lyons. Under the new or not so new management things have really taken a dive. I can very rarely get appointments with my regular doctor Karageorge (more about him later) as he’s booked out weeks in advance due to only working part time. I have asked to be moved under another doctor’s care only to be told we are not reallocating patients at this time. This means I’m persistently bounced between different doctors every-time I need to discuss a new issue. I have the following feedback about this practice - 1. Restrictive Consultation Policy The rule limiting patients to a maximum of two medical issues per consultation, regardless of whether the allocated 15-minute time slot allows for more, is unnecessarily rigid and counterproductive. This policy forces patients to book multiple appointments for related concerns, creating inconvenience and additional costs without any clear clinical benefit. 2. Excessive Medication Review Requirements The requirement for six-monthly medication reviews, when the legal obligation is only once per year, appears unjustified. While I appreciate the importance of medication safety, this policy imposes an unnecessary financial burden on patients and gives the impression that revenue generation is being prioritized over patient care. 3. Professional Conduct and Communication On several occasions, I have found your manner, Dr. Karageorge, to be curt and dismissive. This lack of engagement and empathy makes it difficult to discuss health concerns openly and undermines the trust that is essential in a doctor-patient relationship. Overall Concern These policies and interactions suggest that the practice is operating more like a business than a healthcare provider focused on patient well-being. I urge you to review these practices and consider whether they align with the principles of patient-centered care.

Almost a 1 hour wait time for my 3 month old to be seen by the doctor. Asked reception how much long and all I get in response is β€œhopefully not much longer”. The doctor wasn’t even in her exam room. Highly disappointed as my appointment time was scheduled between naps.

Awful. Treated apaulingly by the entire staff but expecially dr Kirsty Steggles. She was so bad at listening to her patients needs and changing script doesages to seriously endanger my health. When the medical board advised her what she was doing was wrong i was told i could no longer be her patient. I was left sick without needed daily medication for weeks and made to feel embarrassed sucidial and hating myself. This is not how you should feel after seeing healers

Our Doctor is great, but the reception staff are just plain rude and impatient. Shocking for a medical center where people ring who are not well. Would not recommend going here, but as most medical centers are not taking new patients you might have to settle for this one.
