“Massive thank you to the entire team at Dunstan Hospital for the outstanding care of my father in law Hank. Dr Gary & his team of doctors were always caring & respectful at all times. Every nurse that cared for him were empathetic, & really showed how truly caring they are on all his visits & specially on his last visit. They respected his wishes & constantly kept up their world class care. There seemed a genuine interest & huge compassion given to him at all times. As a family we couldn’t have asked for a better treatment care for him. Thank you for keeping his dignity at all times.”

“Two weeks ago I was on a cruise to New Zealand. I had had a procedure done prior to leaving Australia and it became infected on the seas. I was hanging to get to Dunedin to get assistance. The staff were just such lovely helpful people right from the moment I arrived to my departure. I was taken care of so professionally by everyone, things were done so I could get back on the ship by days end. A specialist was called, she was just wonderful. All in all the very best experience in an emergency in my life. (I've had a few). Thankyou to everyone, you are a shining beacon to others with your professionalism and empathetic care. “Excellent level of care. Staff are very professional and compassionate. Cafe onsite for coffee and light eats for visitors and room service meal options for the patients. Carparking is available on site and is limited (better to get there early). I arrived at 10am one day and needed to park quite far down the street but got a park later in the day very easily. This hospital has a very high standard of Healthcare.”

I understand it’s been a long day for them, yet they’re still showing a lot of empathy and care which made up for the little accident I got.”

“Came here for a couple weeks for a winter getaway. Was not disappointed! Outstanding service from the gourmet dining in to the karaoke lounge room classes. If you are visiting Dunedin this is the place to stay! Luxurious bedding, breakfast in bed and they even have a a tennis court. There’s no time for boredom at the Wakari resort; if you’re not out shooting hoops or taking a piss there’s a huge selection of essential oils to smell at the reception area. If I haven’t convinced you yet picture yourself in front of a flat screen tv relaxing to informercials, creating masterpieces in the spacious art area or cigarette but collecting in the beautiful gardens with your new friends. This place truly has it all.”

“Well and truly looked after in the last couple of days by the ED staff. I was checked on often and informed about wait times ect which I appreciated. Offered refreshments while waiting too. Very good care and very friendly staff. Thankyou”

“Exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Decor is lovely and modern and furnishings very comfortable. The guest lounge area was also exceptionally clean with no grubby marks on the lounges or chairs ...unusual in common areas. The grounds were also well maintained with beautiful gardens and lovely seating areas. Neville and Sandra very friendly and welcoming and the couple of staff we came across were lovely and seemed very happy in their roles. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay and we would highly recommend staying here. Don't bother looking anywhere else.”
