“We stayed here twice recently on our way in and out of NZ. The service was amazing. Each person we spoke with was friendly and helpful. The woman who works the night shift and does the shuttle runs in particular was incredible. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There’s an onsite restaurant and playground. The shuttle service was very much appreciated as we had one of the last flights in and first flights out. We would definitely stay here again.”

“What a wee gem. The owners are lovely and make you feel so welcome. The trees all but hide the traffic, sight and sound. The service station is near for snacks and morning coffee. The room is clean and the birds are chirping. It’ll be the first place I’ll book next time I’m in town.”

“We stayed here couple nights with our 5mth old baby, while in transit in Chch due to flight issues. Nice place close to city center with free wifi, comfy rooms, and clean & tidy facilities. All staff we interacted with at Front desk, housekeeping, and morning breakfast were friendly and polite. $24* for a staple breakfast buffet which had enough on there to get us started for the day. “From reception to check-out, this hotel delivered a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with a slightly unusual layout (external sink) but a fantastic view and a very comfortable bed. Casting was also built into the TV and seamless. Both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent—great food and attentive service. The staff’s hospitality stood out throughout the stay, making it feel warm and personal. The location is ideal, right in Cathedral Square and close to the bus interchange, making it easy to explore the city. A 4-star hotel with a 5-star experience—highly recommended for anyone visiting Christchurch.”

“I highly recommend Ashleigh Court Motel in Christchurch. It is a gem. The room and bed were very comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped with enough glasses, mugs and crockery. There was a great shower with really hot water and good quality towels. It is in such a quiet, serene setting with lots of trees and birds, so close to Mona Vale and Hagley Park as well as Riccarton Shopping Mall so is super convenient! The new owner was very helpful and kind. We were there at Christmas and the new owners treated us to lovely Christmas lights and a sweet treat for the family which was so special. Thanks Lulu - we will be back!”

“This room gave you everything you need in the centre of Christchurch within easy walking distance of food, shopping and the river. The shape of the room and bathroom was a bit quirky, but overall serviceable, with a large comfortable bed, desk and sizable balcony looking over the Christchurch Tramway. There is a small wall heater in the room, but the room was a nice temperature (visiting in September). There was a small issue with the room allocation at the beginning, but this was resolved by staff quickly. I was placed on a first floor room, just above the tram line. It wasn't very disruptive, but you could hear it in the room. However, it is what it is and is quite a unique hotel location.”

Only 30min drive to Christchurch city centre 10min to rangiora where you can get everything you need. Had plenty of questions for the staff what all have been answered. Overal a very good stay and will be back.”
