Great friendly staff, great Irish bar across the road. Also a washer and dryer in the room. A warm room and a comfy bed. Also a really quiet place. I will be back.
Terrible quality, the curtains were covered with black mould. There was a live plug coming out of the wall next to my bed head. The sheets and pillowcase were never changed throughout our stay. We were only given a roll of toilet paper, the couch is covered in white stains. The tea towels all had stains on them and there was dust and dirt all over the tables and mirror. If I could give this a zero star rating I would.
Enjoyed bathing in the bath, clean with washing machine and dryer. Close to shopping market and other essential lie the Irish pub.
After reading the reviews and having a limited availability of accommodations on the night we needed to stay in Christchurch we decided to stay here. The toilet, bed and almost unused kitchen are clean. Everything else really needs a good scrub and to be updated. There are stains and holes on/in the walls and doors. You could see the layer of dust on the mirror in the bedroom, mirror in the bathroom was stained all over. The shower floor looked so icky that I showered with my slippers on. The only trash can in the room is broken. The front door faces cars, which is ok if you could open the back door but that is facing all the trash containers so that’s not really a nice option either. For 200 dollars this is not an ok quality. I am giving two stars as we were able to have an early checkin and the bed and toilet were clean.
We stayed over 18 days here. The rooms are clean, modern and well fitted out. The management are friendly and very helpful.
We have stayed here a few times now. A great place to stay. Always clean and tidy. Close to CBD. Staff are brilliant. An easy recommend.
The rooms were great, tidy and clean with brilliant facilities. Were dissapointed with limited car parking and 2 of the parks being occupied by trailer's forcing us to have to park on the street around the corner after being out for dinner, wasn't ideal with young children.
Plus side - there's a washing machine in the room, very useful to catchup on laundry - walking distance from downtown (20 minutes) Negative - no air conditioning - reception was open but with no one when we got there. We had to call and wait 10 minutes for someone to come it. Not convenient if you do not have a phone, but also not secure when you have to give some information at check-in and it stays there wide open - max 1Gb per day free (5$ per GB after).
