   The lovely owner makes you feel at home right away, she even bakes cakes for the guests and has a genuine interest in you. I was expecting to be in a bunk bed but I ended up with a double for the same price, the location of the hostel is great, not far from the city center (15min walk) and there's plenty of space to park the car. No free wifi but if you really need it you can by some at a reasonable price. Bonus: a hug from the owner when I left the hostel!

   It was a great experience in this hostel. We stayed they for 6 weeks and it was absolutly fantastic: the owner, people and rooms made it an enjoyable place to stay and savor Christchurch

   It is a nice place to stay, if you don't mind being a bit further from the city center. The owner was really kind and friendly. The only downside is the kitchen, there was a hundred-year-old dirt on the shelves, pots, cupboards... The book and DVD collection was extraordinary :-)
