“I've gone into this store a bunch over the year and a half that I've jumped back into cycling (daily commuter, on a fixed gear/single-speed). These guys really know what they're doing, charge decent prices, are very polite, and are very quick. I think the closest thing I'd have to a criticism is that they don't appear to have as much fixed/track bike parts and knowledge, but honestly not every shop can do everything. I cannot remember his name, but the American mechanic is really onto it.”

“I just wanted to share some outstanding customer service I received from Dan and his team at Bicycle Junction even when I wasn't an actual customer. It made my week and that was last week and I'm still smiling. When my bike's disc brakes locked up so I practically had to carry my bike, I took it to Bicycle Junction for a rescue. Dan quickly assessed that my bike was in a bad way but managed to fix the brakes, give the gears a tweak and even tighten my bicycle carrier which was missing a screw, as well as blow up my tires. This all came free of charge with some sage advice to get some serious work done on my poor bike. I really appreciated the friendly no fuss service. I was able to cycle away and ponder whether I buy a new bike or get my bike overhauled. I'm still mulling it over, but thank you guys for saving me the other day. Highly recommend.”

Polite, cheerful, and dangerously competent—this guy knew his stuff. He took my forlorn Giant SLR gravel bike under his wing, nodding knowingly as I explained its myriad woes. • The Plan: A brake bleed? Done. A new 10-speed chain cut? Sorted. Promised me I could pick it up the next day, which is either mad optimism or sheer confidence at this time of year. • The Execution: True to their word, I got the “your bike is ready” text the very next day. I shot over quicker than a downhill run, and there she was, gleaming like new (well, close enough). • The Chain: Cut perfectly—no clanking, rattling, or regretful sighs. • The Brakes: Bled and back to stopping power. A year of neglect on the trainer? Consider it forgiven. • The Derailleurs: Oh, and they went rogue here in the best way—gave both the front and rear derailleurs a tweak, just because they could. Shifting was smoother than my best race day. • The Cost: $130 for the lot, and this included some above-and-beyond touches. For post-Christmas service, that’s a steal. • The Verdict: They’re not my regular bike shop, but they’re making a compelling case to be. The combination of excellent workmanship, reasonable pricing, and downright good vibes was enough to win me over. Would I recommend them? Absolutely. “I used their brilliant deal where you buy a second hand bike from them and then return it at the end of your holiday (almost 3 weeks) and they buy it back for half what you paid. The bike was brilliant in very good condition and allowed me to explore Christchurch with ease. My fav place has to be Bottle Lake and the forest tracks. I didn't use the bike on a bus service but a friendly bus driver let me take a photo of my bike on the bus to show friends back home, what a fab way to take your bike further afield. He gave me a decent price for a new tyre and pump, and he put it on in no time, then he helped secure a loose brake cable. Also, they didn't mind my small dog waiting in the store, which is always nice.”

We have purchased all our kids scooters from here along with helmets. We also purchased our two older sons bikes from Evo cycles and were disappointed that it didn’t receive a free service, they said their best deal would be $199 for 3 services. MyRide however when buying my daughters bike at the same time, have advised that we get a free service at 6 weeks, 12weeks and 6months. So if your anything like me and suck at servicing your own bike, MyRide is the place to go! Highly recommended to everyone.”
