   Exceptional service! I had an emergency mechanical that I needed sorting asap as I was due on a flight (with my bike) within 48hrs. The guys at Muds gave my bike the greatest care fixing the problem with my derailleur and then they cleaned my bike and packed it safely into the bag so I was ready for travel. Super grateful!

   Not always good service. Shouted at my 6 year old son for touching a helmet (he won't go back now). Know their stuff and have developed a following, but I don't think they need to try hard to stay in business. Have bought one bike new from them but it will be the last. Wider variety in the city, with better deals and friendlier service. Update 2/8/23: In response to Ross (the owner) - your last sentence throws doubt on the integrity of my review. To be clear I am not a scammer. I live in Parkvale Road, bought an Orbea bike, spend a lot of time at the park and on the football turf outside your shop, and have had a bad experience shopping for gear. My review is not to 'game the system by creating fake reviews and listings for monetary gain, which harms businesses and consumers.' That is what a 'review scam' is. I will send you some more info outside of this channel, as you requested. A review is a review. Hopefully most are good but some might not be - and those ones present an opportunity to learn, adopt and change.

   Fantastic shop, rented a Norco fluid for a spin at Makara. Bike was in perfect nick and well specced and Ross set me up with everything I needed for the ride. If you're heading toward Makara stop in and support your LBS. Without great shops like Mud Cycles we'd be stuffed!
