“Went to another bike shop first and regretted it when they didn't fix the braking issue and nearly caused a crash. Scotty Browns, great service with friendly, knowledgeable bike mechanics and super fast. Booked it online Saturday. Repaired by Monday lunchtime.”

“Went in to purchase a bike lock, not requiring the top of the line and got shown a good range and description and the pro's and con's of each lock. Very informative and got to use my members voucher. Everyone I have dealt with when ever I in the store at Hornby are fantastic.”
“Did my first conversion. Front wheel driven trike. Was pretty easy once I had correct tools to do the pedal assist side of things. All in all a pleasant little project. Thanks Eco quip”
“A big thank you to Jonno who helped me with a purchase as I was ordering from out of town. He was extremely helpful, professional and really friendly to deal with. He made the whole process easy and the purchase was completed in no time. If buying from the Northlink store again I would ask to speak to Jonno. Thanks also to the store manager, Stephen for getting the ball rolling as well. Very impressed with my experience!”
“We have purchased a few pieces of equipment from Elite over the last 10yrs, with positive interactions. Would like to give a specific recognition to Paul, for his great service, support and overall professionalism. A model for others to emulate.”
“I had an excellent experience with Ily at Torpedo7. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, helping me choose the right snowboard with great patience and expertise. His service attitude was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and very supportive. What impressed me most was that he even stayed after hours to make sure everything was sorted out for me. I really appreciate his dedication and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for expert advice and top-quality service.”

“I wish I could give Wired2Ride more than 5 stars! This is the ONLY place I would ever recommend someone buy and Ebike from. Not only are their prices the best you will find, their quality and service is second to none! Donald is always an email away and never fails to put you right! This is the most generous and trustworthy company you'll ever deal with. Seriously, could not recommend them highly enough! A++++++++ in all aspects!”
“Have just purchased my first e-bike today. Thanks to the excellent customer service from Mudit. Great to be able to take my time testing out their range of bikes. Also the other 2 guys also working at Cranford St store were friendly & approachable. Very happy with my Melo Yelo. Cheers.”
“Great service!! I took my old bike in to get a couple of repairs done. James quickly fixed it, plus did a few bonus tweaks to it as well. He explained how I could further improve the condition of my bike and also gave me good advice on the pros and cons on the maintenance of my current bike vs buying a new one. Thanks James, I appreciated your service.”
“Ah, Cycleways Bike Shop—a true gem of the bike repair world and, apparently, a haven for stranded gravel bikes needing a bit of TLC. My visit here was not just a transaction; it was an experience of unexpected camaraderie, stellar service, and the kind of goodwill you don’t always expect right after the festive chaos of Christmas. Here’s the blow-by-blow of what went down: • The Welcome: I was greeted by a friendly American bloke, the kind who makes you feel like you’ve just entered his home rather than a shop. Polite, cheerful, and dangerously competent—this guy knew his stuff. He took my forlorn Giant SLR gravel bike under his wing, nodding knowingly as I explained its myriad woes. • The Plan: A brake bleed? Done. A new 10-speed chain cut? Sorted. Promised me I could pick it up the next day, which is either mad optimism or sheer confidence at this time of year. • The Execution: True to their word, I got the “your bike is ready” text the very next day. I shot over quicker than a downhill run, and there she was, gleaming like new (well, close enough). • The Chain: Cut perfectly—no clanking, rattling, or regretful sighs. • The Brakes: Bled and back to stopping power. A year of neglect on the trainer? Consider it forgiven. • The Derailleurs: Oh, and they went rogue here in the best way—gave both the front and rear derailleurs a tweak, just because they could. Shifting was smoother than my best race day. • The Cost: $130 for the lot, and this included some above-and-beyond touches. For post-Christmas service, that’s a steal. • The Verdict: They’re not my regular bike shop, but they’re making a compelling case to be. The combination of excellent workmanship, reasonable pricing, and downright good vibes was enough to win me over. Would I recommend them? Absolutely. If you’ve got a gravel bike—or any bike, really—that’s been sitting around, Cycleways will whip it back into shape faster than you can say “brake bleed.” Final thoughts: They’re a good lot. Pop in if you want proper service without the faff.”
“I used their brilliant deal where you buy a second hand bike from them and then return it at the end of your holiday (almost 3 weeks) and they buy it back for half what you paid. The bike was brilliant in very good condition and allowed me to explore Christchurch with ease. My fav place has to be Bottle Lake and the forest tracks. I didn't use the bike on a bus service but a friendly bus driver let me take a photo of my bike on the bus to show friends back home, what a fab way to take your bike further afield. Richard York UK”
“These guys care about their customers and go the extra mile. I’m buying all our family bikes here in future.. have a had a few repairs done there. Great people and so good to have that locally.”
“Absolutely Outstanding Service – Highly Recommend! I had such a fantastic experience at Evo Cycles Hornby! From the moment I walked in, the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about bikes. I brought in my bike for repair, and not only did they diagnose the issue quickly, but they also explained everything in a clear and honest way — no jargon, no upselling, just solid advice. The repair was completed ahead of schedule and my bike now rides smoother than it ever has before, it genuinely feels like new. They even gave it a quick clean and tune-up as a courtesy, which was such a nice touch. It’s rare these days to find service this good. The staff clearly care about what they do, and it shows in both the quality of their work and the way they treat their customers. I wouldn’t take my bike anywhere else now. Whether you’re a casual rider or a serious cyclist, I wholeheartedly recommend Evo Cycles Hornby — they’ve earned a loyal customer for life!”
