I was seen to quickly, and the doctor was great. Made me feel at ease and answered all my queries. Reception staff were wonderful too.”

“My room was really well appointed, with everything I could possibly need for a one night stay. I loved the extra little touch of the Christmas card and treats. Just one recommendation - replace the terry-cloth bathmats with non-slip bathmats, as my bathmat slipped out from under me when I was stepping out of the shower, and I had a little fall. But otherwise, everything was great and the price was such good value, so I would happily return.”

“I went to the 24 Hour Surgery recently and was looked after by Nurse Rita. She was incredibly kind, informative, and caring. She took the time to explain everything clearly, gave great advice, and made sure I understood my aftercare for gastro. “I had a wonderful experience with Oakwood Manor. The staff were exceptional, Simon and Lennie went the extra mile to get me to the airport in time for my flight amongst crazy concert traffic recently. My car was safely stored for the week and Lennie picked me up on my return. Simon welcomed me home with such genuine hospitality. I was not expecting to much of the room but was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, tidy, comfortable and well appointed for my short stay. The overhead fan was noisy but there was another available in the room. Overall exceptional value for money. “Stayed 2 nights. I spent many nights in this hotel in the early 2000s. The character hasn't changed, it is old world delightful. The room was clean and well serviced. This was a nostalgic stay for me but I am really happy I chose the "La Grand". It is incredibly good value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”

“I booked a room as I was meant to stay there while attending a wedding but unfortunately I fell ill and was not able to attend this was the day before my booking and so the lovely people at Park lodge allowed me to cancel my booking with out charging me which I truly appreciate and would definitely stay there in the future.”

“We stayed at the Apple Inn Motel in Hastings for 2 nights over the Christmas–New Year period while attending a funeral in Hawke’s Bay. With everything booked out and only 1 day to organise our accommodation our options were extremely limited. The only room the Apple Inn had available was a studio, which wouldn't have been our first choice, but we had little alternative. On the positive side, the motel was exceptionally cheap, especially given the time of year. The Wi-Fi was excellent and completely free, which was a pleasant surprise. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely - very friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help. Don’t be put off by some of the low reviews here. The Apple Inn is an underrated rough diamond that offers outstanding value for money, particularly if you’re looking for something affordable and practical during a busy period.”

“Great coffee. Good ham & cheese omelette, the hash cakes served with eggs Benedict had ice in the middle of them - maybe process gap in the kitchen. Cabinet contained a fine range of sandwiches and breakfast items including croissants”

We love Dr Wen Chen as she is so caring and always kind also attentive to our health issues for these years. If we couldn't get an appointment, we can go to Highbrook Medical for alternative. “The service at the apartment reception desk is very good, and the cleanliness of the garbage room and laundry area is excellent. The apartment environment has been improved. The newly opened restaurant downstairs has a nice taste.”

“Just reaching out to extend warm appreciation and gratitude to the Palmerston North Ambulance Paramedics,Nurses and Doctors,Orderlies of A&E, Observation ward and Surgical Ward for all your caring and evaluation, analysis, procedural treatment, pertaining to the days I spent under your care!. And even though did not have the appetite to enjoy fully, the ,Food Catering Department presented such beautiful nutritious appealing meals. You all made me feel I was in good hands which is very reassuring when you are feeling under the weather and not functioning quite as normal!. Anyone who needs medical care from such a caring team at Palmerston North Hospital can feel rest assured they not only care for you, but from my personal experience go over and beyond to get to the root cause of your problem to get you back on the road to recovery!.
