Is now under the Edit franchise, no longer President Hotel. Great price when on special - free parking and breakfast. Lovely staff make for a very nice stay. Breakfast options beautifully presented by the kitchen staff. Location is excellent.

Perfect hotel, right at the heart of Auckland city center. The hotel is fully equipped with essentials needs. Most importantly were the incredible staffs. The front desk agent, Lena was excellent. The whole stay, she was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. She has the outstanding hospitality services, keep up the genuine energy. Also the night staff, the male front desk agent was very accommodating and courteous as well. Everything I needed to have a good stay in Auckland.

We were deeply disappointed with our experience at this hotel. The hotel changed its name (from President to Edit) without any communication, making it confusing to find upon arrival. This lack of transparency was just the beginning. At check-in, we were met with an unnecessarily rude and unprofessional duty manager. Because I booked our room under my preferred name rather than my legal name, he refused to acknowledge my valid booking ID and went as far as to suggest it could be fraudulentβan offensive and completely unfounded accusation. He wouldnβt even look at my booking confirmation until I insisted several times. To make matters worse, the room we were given was not the one we booked. We had reserved a king bed, but were instead assigned a room with a queen bed and two single beds, without any prior notice or our consent. When asked to explain, the duty manager first blamed housekeeping for not having the original room ready (despite our arrival after 2 PM), then contradicted himself by saying there was a fault with the room allocation system. No apologyβjust a series of excuses and lies. When I pressed further about why we werenβt consulted before the room change, the manager lost his temper, became aggressive, and threatened to cancel our stay, saying he would refund us and that he didn't want us staying there at all. Inexcusable behavior from someone in a Duty Manager position. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in, calmed the situation, and kindly offered us an upgrade. We appreciated her professionalism, but by then, the damage was done. Honestly, she should be the duty manager, not someone who clearly has no understanding of customer service or how hospitality works. Even with the upgrade, the room itself was underwhelming. The bathroom and furniture were tired, the fridge was dirty, and there was rubbish under the bed. Cleanliness and upkeep were clearly not a priority. Save yourself the troubleβthere are plenty of hotels in the CBD with better service and basic respect for guests. This experience was stressful, frustrating, disappointing, and unacceptable.

Staff were very helpful on front desk and cannot fault them at all. Do not stay in room 106 we walked in and it smelt like actual urine. Thankfully they moved us to 707 which was lovely. Bed was a double and like a rock, pillows were awful too. The one-bedroom apartment had been renovated which was nice. All and all i think you get what you pay for breakfast was a great addition but i wouldn't race to stay here again, Location is great, nice and close to everything. We did have a great view of the sky tower which was awesome. budget hotel and a very uncomfortable sleep

Stayed one night at this hotel. Great value for money. We were visiting Sky City theatre which was very close to the hotel. The room was basic but this was all we needed. More important for me was the cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable and shower was fab! There was no view (looked into multi-storey building) but black out blind worked a treat. The room was quiet and I had a great sleep. Breakfast was self service and there was plenty of choice, including drinks. The staff were all friendly and looked happy at their work! I would recommend the hotel. We will be back!

Great location, tall building. Lots of food nearby, close to shopping, cinemas, Britomart train station about 10 minute walk. Clean rooms, fridge, microwave, dishes and silverware. Hair dryer in bathroom. Assorted teas, coffee, cocoa and tea kettle. Breakfast was good with a good variety for adults and kids. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

Great location in the center of everything! Staff is super friendly and helpful if you need anything at all. Rooms provide anything you really need, and there is laundry on site. Grocery store right next door and a wide variety in breakfast items provided. Iβve enjoyed my stay here. Thank you all so much.

Best value we've come across. Our room was spacious & clean; the staff and service provided was excellent; carparking in the middle of central city roadworks, a bonus. And a full tasty breakfast. A special thank you for the Friday hug from Parmila the chef who was also the concierge at the restaurant.

I and my friend chose this hotel and booked online. We had a very late check-in as our flight got delayed. The receptionist gave us a quick check-in and gave us the key. The stay was good and the room was clean. We had complimentary breakfast options throughout the stay but due to our early start tours, we were not able to try that. But heard it was good from other guests.
