Really lovely quirky hotel just needs a bit more care and attention. Staff really friendly. Room generally ok except light fittings and windowsills very dusty, bathroom clean. We struggled with the keys
Wow, what an amazing surprise... The hotel was intimate and the different use of spaces was well thought out. My room was spacious and the bed was so comfy. Terry was lovely and I loved that he joined us for a Gin and a chat, truly a fantasic host. The staff were really attentive and helpful, nothing was a problem at all. We dined at Nice on the Friday night, and the food was delicious. I don't get to New Plymouth very often, but i can guarantee that i will stay here next time i am in town. I just loved "The Nice Hotel", somehow the word "Hotel" doesn't describe it properly. It felt a bit like home... a very nice home at that. Thanks to all the staff and Terry and John :)
Not our first time and worth every minute of it, apart from the first little bit when we had a bit of a long wait to get seated. The atmosphere is amazing with eclectic decor and the team that served and cooked were brilliant. The meals were worth paying a little more than we usually do for with tender rump loin and then bread pudding capping the session off. Thanks for another worthwhile experience.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a truly luxurious experience. The exceptionally warm and friendly service was so lovely and welcoming. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, high quality linen and the most comfortable bed made for a beautiful sleep. It was a shame it rained on this stay, as the outdoor oasis looked a treat to enjoy; but I hope to return in Summer to enjoy this. My heartfelt thanks for a very memorable experience.
Fantastic 6-day break in a lovely, quirky, homely, very stylish boutique hotel. Great rooms, the bed was soooo comfortable it was hard to get out of!! Terry, Maggie and the team are awesome, so friendly and helpful, nothing is a drama! Maggie mixes a mean Pina Colada, trust me! All up a great place, atmosphere is all there and there’s a top notch restaurant to boot, thank you for such a great time!!
Absolutely spot on Location, room, breakfast and staff all excellent. Was great to do an impromptu night there while visiting home after being away for 25 plus years. Great to see Terry still at it.
Great location for cbd, great interior fit outs. Some managing issues there but great staff .
Very central location. No expense spared in the comforts for this Hotel. Top class restaurant , food excellent. Staff welcoming and attentive.
Attended a wedding reception here. It was spread between rooms. Food was great, food was swinging by us every 15-20min. Very chill atmosphere, alot of seating. Again very antique/modern nice and relaxed. Looks small from th roadside , but its actually quite deceiving and is very spacious. 10/10 for service
