   The valet service was the first clue; meticulous care of the car, greeting us warmly & effortlessly whisking our luggage upstairs. The foyer space was beautifully appointed with a Christmas tree to one side. The young woman at the main desk exuded calm, charm, competence and a friendly smile. Excellent customer skills! The room was amazing. The facilities inside the room were outstanding with special Christmas treats too! IMO this wasn’t just a one-night stay, Horizon by SkyCity is an experience! I will be back! Thank you so much!

   Really clean and nice stay. The place is really new so everything is fresh. I arrived early to drop my bag off and the lady informed me my room was already ready before check in, was a great surprise. Will definitely stay again, and recommend.

   This is a great hotel with lovely rooms, comfortable beds and well equipped. Great location for the city. The valet parking was very efficient and they took our bags as we arrived early and delivered to our room when it was ready. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be back.

   Located in the heart of downtown Auckland, around the corner from Sky Tower, and a 25 minute drive from the airport. Short walk to the Viaduct Harbor. Across the street from a major train/bus station. Parking available on site (single day self parking is cheaper but only single entry/exit - slightly more expensive valet parking allows multiple entries exits). Our valet assist, José was very kind and helpful and made the whole process seamless and worth the cost. Imran at the checkin facilitated the rest of the checkin process, treated us like family, gave excellent local recommendations and had our rooms ready hours before checkin time (which was very helpful as we had arrived by an early morning flight). There is a small but well quipped gym with toilets and showers (with towels). Breakfast buffet was not included in the booking price but we decided to try it out and loved it. Great variety of fresh food and drink options. Highly recommended. In summary, this is a neat, clean, comfortable hotel that offers great value for money with its simplicity, location and outstanding staff.

   The location and the newness of the hotel was what attracted my attention when researching hotels for my vacation in Auckland. I am glad I made the right decision to stay at Horizon by Sky City. The hotel is located in the CBD Sky City entertainment complex with close proximity to restaurants, the iconic Sky Tower, Sky City Casino and within walking distance to Auckland's main street, Queen Street. The rooms are well-appointed and modern with comfortable beddings. There's a well stocked mini-bar. I particularly like the light switch wall panels where you can set your own mode lighting and also the ability to turn on the light on the huge bathroom mirror. The hotel staff were all professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel the next time I am in Auckland. I highly recommend this hotel.
