“This hostel is absolutely fine to stay in. I felt welcome the whole time I was here. The price is really cheap and the rooms are not any worse than any other hostel ive stayed in for a higher price. The staff are helpful and this place has a nice easy-going vine to it. The owner is lovely and has a cute little puppy! Kitchen well stocked with spices , seasoning, baking goods. 5/5 would recommend, wish I had time to stay longer.”

“I can only rate the bar and the meal, as we didn't stay at their accommodation. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order at the bar. The bar was very busy, but the staff took our order and brought our drinks promptly to us. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana and were very happy with it. The serving size was more than enough, and we felt the wait really wasn't that long at all, especially considering how busy they were. I'd be happy to return again the next time I'm in Auckland.”

“Stayed at Mineral Park Motel on a weekend away, it was the best experience for a long long time. Anna was very kind and helpful, very patient on answering all our questions. The room was sparking clean, had everything we needed. Secluded and quiet location, perfect if you wish to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life yet it is not too far away. The highlight was the mineral spa, we thoroughly enjoyed in soaking in the hot tub, washes away all the stress and and tiredness, felt so relaxed afterwards. Thumbs up to the team at Mineral Park Motel, look forward to come back again.”

“Such a sweet spot! Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff! Rooms, are nicely done - spacious, modern and comfortable - really enjoyed the Spa bath in the room I had & the shower was massive! Has a spa, a gym, a pool for the warmer months and is only a 5 min walk to the beautiful beach and lots of cafes & restaurants near by - highly recommend!”

“The Rotten Apple is the place to be in Hastings. Together with the Common Room the best place! Great atmosphere and nice common area. And the best hostel community Ive ever experienced. “What a gem! The staff is so kind and friendly, and it’s really clean. The location couldn’t be better, we enjoyed the peacefulness and the sunsets (amazing). Just outside of town with great views of the Waikato. The pool is a sweet treat, too! Bonus! They even had a space to plug in an EV! I hope more EV users find this lovely location. “Good value and recommended. There is a variety of units, with the tidy larger suites more suited for a longer stay. The beds are comfortable and the lighting variable depending on unit type. Room service is excellent and the units are kept clean. Bathrooms are good. We liked having a separate toilet. Toiletries, which are of high quality, get replaced daily”

“Booked the family unit for a weekend and we overall loved it despite a couple of things. Spa was massive and also gated off. Heatpump works perfectly to keep yourselves and kids warm! Definitely had to have it on as the blankets are thin. Would recommend bringing your own or blasting the heatpump. Plenty of towels provided. Water pressure for the shower is okay. Dining table was a little wobbly but seems like it's just missing 1 screw. Wasn't sure if i didn't know how to use the elements or it just stays on one heat setting, HIGH. Nice sized porch and plenty of outdoor chairs to use. Found one cockroach under the couch and still waiting for deposit.”
