Cleanish but shabby. Walls need a paint and bath too slippery to stand in to shower. Stains on bedcovers. Great location and friendly but probably wouldn't return.
The Beach Front Motel was clean, quiet, recently refurbished, all for a very reasonable price. Amazing view, close to a great restaurant (Drift) easy walk to supermarkets, warehouse, briscoes if you need anything. Easy friendly check-in. The large spa bath in the room is wonderful! Our second time staying here and will definitely stay again.
Booked for three nights over labour weekend for 3 adults. Was given room 14 2nd level, found room to be dated with a quick badly slap of paint done in the not too distant past. No remote for the air conditioning unit. Spoke to who I assume was the manager who found a remote and placed it in the room while we went out for food. Got back around 8pm and found the tv remote not working (no manual switches) and reception closed so no tv for the night.Turned out to be flat batteries for remote which as well as the air conditioner remote the batteries were held in with sellotape.First morning slipped over in bath room as floor was covered in water with it leaking through the light fitting from the room upstairs.No plumber available apparently as long weekend, Room was a 1 bedroom with queen bed and 2 singles in bedroom. Offered us a single room with 2 single beds and a rollaway bed for a disabled person.Then offered an equivalent room which would only be available the next day which I accepted, Manager said the would ring when ready.All this was done over the phone as we had to be else where and the reception does not open until 9am. No phone call and by the time we got back found the room had not been serviced and reception closed.Bucket with a towel in it was the solution for the water leak.Finally caught up with Manager at reception on day of departure who said the person on reception the previous day tried to ring me, they had not.Only a $50 refund for all the inconvenience.
I would like to share my positive experience with Beach Front Motel. From the very beginning, the booking process was handled smoothly and efficiently, with a very fast response from the entire team. On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, Mrs. L, who was extremely helpful, professional, and accommodating throughout my stay. The room itself was very well kept — clean, tidy, and thoughtfully organised. The housekeeping team truly went above and beyond in maintaining such high standards. During my stay, I unfortunately left my wallet behind. As soon as I called, the response from the staff was immediate and reassuring. Thanks to the dedication and honesty of the cleaning department, along with the kind assistance of Mrs. L, my wallet was located and returned promptly. I am truly grateful for the excellent service and care shown by the entire team, and I would especially like to personally thank Mrs. L and the housekeeping staff for their outstanding support. Beach Front Motel not only provides great accommodation but also demonstrates genuine hospitality and integrity. Highly recommended.
We stayed for one night only but we wished we could stay longer. This motel is better that many hotels and we loved it. Friendly staff ,Clean and beautiful view and everything to make your stay feel welcome. Thank you Beach front motel you will see us again soon.
Good location,really appreciate there support for those affected by cyclone Gabriel... In my case only negative was not allowed visitors..7/10
Great room with plenty of space and a decent size spa bath to enjoy as well. The location is perfect, right opposite the beach and a short walk to venture into town. We will stay again next time we are in the area.
We stay 2 days. Spa pool didn't work and a crack in the bath. Power switch in bathroom pretty dangerous. Also hair dryer didn't work. Fridge seals coming off and couldn't close fridge and needs defrosting. Also chair by bed wobbly. For what we paid it wasn't work it. No apology or some sort of refund.
Filthy unsanitary mattress multiple urine stains , bloody hand mark ,it needs to be thrown away . The tub chairs that were falling apart, window latch missing and the shower base had a big crack in it. Slept on the floor as at least that was clean We were refunded for the rest our stay. Someone has started to refurbish the unit it has a nice kitchenette and new carpet. The owners need to listen to feedback and act on it as this could be a top motel. It looked as if the mattress has been used for longer term accommodation
