This motel is one you might visit once without knowing what's going on, but you'll never return again. The reason is that because it's located on the road, I couldn't sleep all night due to the noise from cars. I was also very disappointed by the rude and blunt way they greeted me at check-in.

Friendly staff but sadly they donβt advertise what they say they have in the rooms no phone no clocks no radio and internet was terrible and the owner said it was because of the men working in the hills behind us and then said it was the control to the tv was very sensitive as it wasnβt going properly because of the internet Didnβt fix the problem There was no information on things to do and where to go. No air conditioning just a fan it was so unbearable with heat. I felt like it was a place for emergency accommodation which is awesome if thatβs what sheβs doing but itβs advertise as a motel. If you want somewhere to sleep and thatβs it this is the place

This motel is reasonably located to Matamata and ultimately Hobbiton, which I imagine is driving most tourists to this area. The motel is located on the main highway coming into town, but is not in the central part of town. The room we had was very, very large. It was on the second floor, but you do have to walk your luggage up, so beware. There is typical motel items in the room with kitchenette, bathroom, and living areas. Everything was clean. The bed was a queen sized bed, but small for the room and the other furnishings were equally under-sized. It was not bad, just lots of floor space that unless you have lots of kids needing space to build their lego sets, there is no point to having. This is truly a more is less situation. It is a bit noisier than desired. The motel is on the main highway and also on an active arterial. The windows are single paned and thin, so you tend to hear much of the traffic noise. Staff was pleasant and check-in/out was efficient.

Spacious, private, many amenities, daily laundry service for towels(super helpful) and kind owners here. This place feels homely, even though it's a motel and a temporary stay. Wish there were more washing machines though.

Very noisy. Cleaner forgot to clean our room. Had to ask for extra towels. Family members in other rooms were told to be quiet at 8.30 at night when there was only one other set of guests. They weren't even that loud.

We slept on the pull out sofa the base was missing springs and the metal frame was bent to the point we were unable to sleep on it. The mattress itself was ripped and springs were poking out of it into our bodies. We ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. The couple we stayed with said the bed was equally as horrible. No milk was provided. There were only two towels in the room. One drinking glass. The only good thing was it was clean.

Stayed here recently while the room was good and we did not have any issues I noted it looked like many clientele were checked in here for emergency accommodations so it did not have the atmosphere of a for tourists and travelers motel to me. Rooms are a mezzanine design so it can be quite noisy and hot upstairs at times Rooms were in good condition Good water pressure and lots of hot water The office attendants car was parked slightly inconveniently in the entrance

Very clean and well presented room. I was here for 3 nights and had no issues. Bed was very comfortable and good having basic cooking facilities. Free WiFi and off street parking. Just be aware that is is close to the main rail line and main road so do expect a bit of road/rail noise.
