   We stumbled upon this place whilst walking around. We came two nights in a row as we liked it so much. The first night was in the restaurant and the second night was in the bar (as the restaurant was closed). The staff are incredibly friendly, the bar was welcoming and had a good buzz about it. And as for the meals - delicious and plentiful. Certainly good value for money and excellent service. Would thoroughly recommend.

   We stayed close by, so can't comment on the accommodation. However we are here 3 nights running for dinner. The manager downstairs was a lovely young lady that was very helpful. We are seniors, and the bar was very noisy. She suggested we order our drinks and meal downstairs, and go upstairs. (The bar upstairs wasn't staffed for another 30 mins). The meals were very good pub grub (so if you are looking for fine dining, this is not the place for you!) The chef was Asian, so there was always a little Asian twist as a side. The chef came to our table the 3 nights we were there, and I asked what the Asian accompaniments were. The 3rd night I went to thank her and she was moved to tears that I would do that. Huge hug from her and also when we said goodbye to the young manager. Well done team!

   I can only rate the bar and the meal, as we didn't stay at their accommodation. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to order at the bar. The bar was very busy, but the staff took our order and brought our drinks promptly to us. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana and were very happy with it. The serving size was more than enough, and we felt the wait really wasn't that long at all, especially considering how busy they were. I'd be happy to return again the next time I'm in Auckland.

   The room was shocking the curtains were hanging off the bed wS small the bathroom wS mouldyand the service was bad we stayed two night's and they refused to clean our room after the first night so I got extra sheets and did it my self bad service and bad management don't be fooled by the price parking was 40 dollars a night what a joke do not stay here it is horrable

   Bought a grab one deal. Supposed to be $45 for 2 tasting paddles and and any item off the Bar menu per person. On arrival...after specially booking ... we were given the worst table in the place and informed that not only could we not have our choice from the menu...but only choose between the fries or the garlic bread. And only 1 item between 2 people...not each as per the deal. (The deal even has the menu options attached.) Am beyond disappointed. If the deal was supposed to win them more customers they have failed miserably. We definitely won't ever go back.

   Neat atmosphere can definitely tell she's a piece of history lol. Service was alright. Staff may have had enough for the day. We bought a 3 course meal from grab one it was soooo so good!! Food looked great and was very delicious!

   Nice 'big bro' burger, and tasty fries. Staff were friendly and it was nice to be able to sit outside and eat :) I would give the burger 5 stars if the patties were combined and smashed out to be the same diameter as the bun.

   Stopped by on a rainy weekend afternoon for a quick lunch. Staff not particularly friendly but helpful and quick service so no problem. Small little pub feel with high tables and billiards and some background music. Local made beers. $20NZD for banners and mash with a draft beer is a great deal in Auckland. Bet was nice and good was well presented and tasty. We enjoyed our visit and would do but again if we are on the area.
