   My partner and I recently stayed here for our fourth or fifth time. Accidentally booked the wrong date didn’t realise until we were five minutes away from the place, Keep in mind this is at 8:30 pm and genuinely they don’t have a staff member posted. Booking was non-refundable. Gave them a call anyway told him the situation they were pleasant and sorted it out straight away changed our booking for us. Every time we stayed here the staff have been very helpful any time we needed anything, And pretty much invisible for the rest of the time which is kind of ideal when you have a weekend away. Rooms have always been tidy and clean, Probably a little bit outdated but the reality is as you’re not going there for the rooms you’re going there for the geothermal spa. Every room has a spa pool outside on the back deck, Private, Clean And always nice and hot ready to go. There Is another place on the same road and they’re okay however overall I will always choose to come back to this place. Cheers

   1 year on and I thought I’d give this place another go. Big mistake! Upon arrival we had to locate a cleaner to let us into the room. The room was clean and tidy but very worn, definately needs an upgrade. I went to use the bathroom and found the door wouldn’t open. The lock had jammed. I called to see if anyone could help and no one except a cleaner onsite. The main bathroom next to reception was out of order. My partner who is a builder had to remove the door handle completely so I could use the bathroom. These rooms need urgent maintenance. We promptly left after and I won’t ever return.

   Booked the family unit for a weekend and we overall loved it despite a couple of things. Spa was massive and also gated off. Heatpump works perfectly to keep yourselves and kids warm! Definitely had to have it on as the blankets are thin. Would recommend bringing your own or blasting the heatpump. Plenty of towels provided. Water pressure for the shower is okay. Dining table was a little wobbly but seems like it's just missing 1 screw. Wasn't sure if i didn't know how to use the elements or it just stays on one heat setting, HIGH. Nice sized porch and plenty of outdoor chairs to use. Found one cockroach under the couch and still waiting for deposit.

   I actually really enjoyed my stay. It wasn't flash but covered all my needs I had a private hot tub and just across the road at Parakai Pools I got a great discount to use the pools all day since i was staying at the Motel. If anything was negative about my stay it was ANTS nothing a spray can couldn't fix. I definitely will be staying here again it was homely and comfortable for me close to shops and Helensville.

   Positives.... We had to travel to pickup a machine in helensville, so as for location this motel was good, and there was a large carpark across the road where we could park the truck up safely. The owner was nice on the phone, and it was easy enough to self enter the room.The thermal pool was a lifesaver. Negatives.... # Was advised our $100 deposit would not be charged on our credit card...and it was, it still hasn't been returned..the room was left in the same state as we found it except the used linen..... # It would have been nice not to have all the bird crap all over the sides of the pool,,, so obviously that part wasnt checked before we came in.... # There were dirty cups in the cupboard... # I did ask if the room was ok/nice? She said yes... # We arrived and the windows were open, it was dark, so mosquitoes were everywhere, I can understand why they were open as soon as they were closed we were engulfed with a dirty stench of musty smell.... # The main bed needs to be replaced as has a bow in the middle ,so we were constantly rolling and getting stuck in a ridge in the centre (we are not oversized folk)... # Need woollen blankets it was really cold.in there...two thin acrylic, old blankets did not keep us warm!.the air con system didn't heat the room up! # After driving for 8 hours, would have been nice to at least have a cuppa with milk,but there was some dried, milk powder stuff, so had to make do with that.. # last but certainly not least was the mouldy shower.... and no soap.. #### And cockroaches crawling in the kitchen....this made me feel sick, I hope none climbed into our luggage!!° #Come on $230.00 per night we would have expected a bit more than what we received.... Highly disappointing, the owners really should take a look at their property and seriously make some changes...and get people's deposits like ours back to them ASAP....not good enough....no wonder they aren't on sight and are contactless....I would be embarrassed to be let people stay in the environment we had to sleep in! Would definitely not recommend to stay here ....not until the owners spend some serious time sorting out issues....1 star rating!! I am just saying this is the first time I have ever written a review like this, but feel people need to know

   Had to wait a week or more to get refunded bond money. They have so many rules and regulations, it made for an uneasy stay. They advertise a spa, but it was only a soaking tub with no jets. Unfriendly owner. Never ever in all my 68 years have I come across a motel like it! Noisy. Could hear yelling kids each side of us, at night.

   I could not stay here as I had to cancel my trip, I canceled with the agency I booked with within the given time frame and as I did so they had already taken the money out of my account. I contacted the property but they were unwilling to refund my money they asked me for a further $30 to cover admin costs. Needless to say because of their actions my granddaughters and I were unable to do any shopping for food. Awesome job.

   Disgusted with this motel. It was nothing like the pictures and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Would not recommend staying here at $195 per night. We moved to the lodge next door at extra cost to ourselves.

   Pleasant enough stay quiet and comfortable. Hot pool was nice no where to hang towels or wet clothes so that was a little odd ? Cooking facilities where meager no frying pan only small potts and no real cutting utensils to cook with. Ceiling fan was a bonus as mossies about so windows closed. Gated entrance was reassuring and well presented grounds all in all good value you get what you pay for..we will return. Nice area hellensville
