Perfectly clean and well equipped for a budget option I would certainly stay again. I did have to check in at another motel as UniMotel doesn't have a reception.
Rooms are spacious and clean. It’s just that you can hear guests footsteps especially if you are staying in the rooms on the ground floor. There’s no reception on site. You will have to pick up the keys from a different location. Not much of a issue but if guests leave the main door open, chances are anyone can get in the building. Also, there main door needs fixing (opens using hotel room card key but was affixed with tape around it). Should be addressed soon as this could compromise guest safety. Otherwise, apart from the noise, the room I booked was good. Has all that I needed and I paid a good price for one night stay.
2 days here as eh guest Room very accomdating and nice Contract was abit confusing as no kitchen odurs allowed but no extractor fan or windows close to vent if cooking. Contract needed to be amended as it says 15hrs a day staff can enter room. Contract negotiation with management to ensure resident isn't put at risk was declined and confidential information shared to others when verbally requested not to share my information was refused, to further disadvantage me. Staff member and I did well to negotiate but via third party msd interrupted and disrupted communication
We stayed at this place for 3 weeks housekeeping very unsatisfactory, the staff need to understand and make proper compassionate decisions around maori and our traditions as this is Aotearoa and they are the visitors we were at a tangi in Auckland on a Saturday winz hadn't paid rent installment unknown to us so then we get a call from motel staff Sunday telling us our stuff is packed and at reception we then ask if we can pickup belongings on Monday morning as we are at a funeral we got assured by staff it was fine then 9am Monday comes and again a call from hotel letting us know our belongings are going out front of motel so we then drop everything and head back to UNIMOTEL in Hamilton 30min into drive again the motel staff call now our stuff is getting put out front we left Auckland 910am got Hamilton 10am yes we had to speed,this place can't get staff good enough to understand a few things they assured us it was ok to pickup Monday morning and morning last time I checked was UpTo lunch it looks these guys are only trying to squeeze everything out of the most vulnerable. Unacceptable Unsatisfactory Beware family
When we stayed the first thing we noticed the walls with paper thin. The bedspread had a melted iron mark near the pillow.The bed feels like it would have been comfortable ,but the blinds didn't block out the street light.(I tried to sleep on the 2 seater couch..no good) The bathroom didn't have any hooks for your towel etc..the shower had mould on the walls. Unless there have been some renovations in the last 2 or 3 years..super disappointed.
Cheap place good for quick night stop over but nothing more, beds were comfy. You get what you pay for though. Good service, place looks nice on the surface but very dusty under the beds and on the side tables to the point you can actually see the dust settled. The bathroom needs a deep clean, with the floor scrubbed and the downpipe need to be cleaned as it let's out a horrid smell. The walls are extremely thin! You can hear everything! You can hear people showering. You can hear people walking around upstairs, talking and laughing. Most definitely needs carpet or something to break up the sound. You can also hear people walking down the hallway and the door to the hallway let's in a lot of light!
Very clean, newly decorated. Good pressure in the shower but no hooks or rails or anywhere to put toiletries. Toilet seat missing. Room was spacious. Includes table and 2 chairs.
Best price in the area, and the staff were really helpful, even when my flight was massively delayed due to poor weather. The room is nice, and there is a supermarket nearby which makes getting food really easy. The bed is also very soft and comfortable. Noise was a bit of a concern though
Good value and recommended. There is a variety of units, with the tidy larger suites more suited for a longer stay. The beds are comfortable and the lighting variable depending on unit type. Room service is excellent and the units are kept clean. Bathrooms are good. We liked having a separate toilet. Toiletries, which are of high quality, get replaced daily
